What an odd project. I like it.
But I can't seem to find any info on how to get that LP set.

Oxynoxe - Fri Sep 28, 2018 10:35 am

Press release with contact infos: https://static.perrotin.com/presse_expo/press_release_6405_0.pdf .
Dr_Jones - Fri Sep 28, 2018 12:00 pm

OK, I mailed the press officer so I expect to get an answer on the availability of this LP set.
Oxygene - Fri Sep 28, 2018 3:17 pm

The LP set will be available from the gallery's web shop starting October 13th. The same day a digital download will be released on iTunes.

Regards,
Oxygene

Do we actually know this is a *new* track? Maybe it's just "Akropolis" with another, fourth title?

Thanks! Something to look forward to.
I see Mirwais and Christophe both made tracks for the album too!

We don't until two weeks. It happened before, yes.

Oxygene - Fri Sep 28, 2018 5:31 pm

According to the gallery it is "a special composition on behalf of Sophie Calle's demand for her project".
Also Laurie Anderson is providing a song for the project.

Oxygene

I've heard this "special composition" thing (which later turned out to be "a pre-existing piece of music with different title") too many times alrleady, so I reserve the right to remain skeptical :)

That would be hilarious, though. ;)

Velodynamic - Fri Sep 28, 2018 10:41 pm

Well what do you know. Christophe is also there on the list. That guy is like a shadow of JMJ or something.
Dr_Jones - Sat Sep 29, 2018 11:11 pm

I've got info on the LP set from the press officer:

Quote:
They will be available for sale at the Perrotin Paris bookstore. We will start selling them for the opening (October 13th), in-site only. After the opening, the LPS will also be available on our online store.

The standard edition will cost 120, and the artist edition 1800.

There is also some additional information in this article :) : https://www.midilibre.fr/...ris,4713653.php

  • Only 900 copies will be available on October 13 at the Perrotin Gallery in Paris. (selling price: 100 )
  • Sophie Calle is present in four songs. In those of Pharrell Williams and Jean-Michel Jarre, she appears "discreetly".
  • Each artist remains the owner of his work for a possible radio broadcast or a concert.

Dr_Jones - Mon Oct 01, 2018 7:24 pm

900, that's not much... We'll probably get more chance to get it at the digital stores (hopefully not only iTunes)
Jote - Sat Oct 13, 2018 7:44 am

JMJ's "Souris Calle" is now available on Spotify et al.

And... yeah. It's the mysterious "Chromatic" track from December 2017.

This track is sooooo much better than the new """"Equinoxe"""" Cr.. he's giving us so far! :D

There's much more adventure in this! More please! :)

Dr_Jones - Sat Oct 13, 2018 5:30 pm

Really? I think it's just a "filler" track. It's fun, with the purring cat and all, but not that big a deal.
shadow - Sun Oct 14, 2018 11:15 pm

I don't have either Spotify or iTunes account (or as far as I know the second one was closed), YouTube link already somewhere for the new version?
Dr_Jones - Mon Oct 15, 2018 7:49 am

Amazon has a 30 second sample. Still bummed I can't buy a freaking mp3 file from that website because amazon.de doesn't "deliver" to the Netherlands.
shadow - Mon Oct 15, 2018 2:49 pm

I will never stop loving that kind of logic
Jote - Tue Oct 16, 2018 12:16 am

Just noticed that this cat's fur pattern looks like a violin

Velodynamic - Sat Oct 20, 2018 1:06 am

Oh my...that's one expensive cat!
SuperStarly - Sat Oct 20, 2018 4:26 am

With vinyl prices like that, it may as well be an aristo-cat! :pwned:
(Hahahah, sorry. I saw an opportunity to make a lousy cat pun, and I boldly took it!)
