In this arrangement, the title of the album seemed a little too bent over the contour of the object ... Having said that at first it was rather convincing!
Maybe you have read this before in the other thread about MFS: Dr_Jones has detected now a picture of the official MFS record label on the website of Patrick Pelamourgue. And now we know the official number of tracks on it: 7!!! You know, the bootleg is divided in 8 tracks. Look here:

This poses a dilemma now, as I thought I had the divisions for MFS sorted, but now there's only 7, I must have the first parts divided up wrong! Unless, there's an Overture and then Parts 1-4?
But if not, would anyone like to hazard a guess as to what the divisions of the first side are now?

I think an early 90's edition of Conductor of the Masses (in their black and white days) had an in-depth article about Music for Supermarkets, and if I recall correctly (the magazine is probably in my parent's attic, somewhere!), they listed the track list as beginning with Music For Supermarkets Overture.
However, everything I've read about the album since has it beginning with Music For Supermarkets Part 1.
Hope that may shed some light on it.

Selling the album and destroying the master tapes

It's a twitter post (don't have the link right now), but the picture is not real. Seems rather photoshopped and even if it was real, why would the single copy of it appear out of nowhere, after decades of being missing, on Twitter of all places.

For the sake of argument: Why not? How would you envision learning about it after being found by someone after decades of being missing? Social media would be the first outlet for this to surface.
