Just recently this happened to Madonna and Ritchie, didn't it?

I wouldn't tar Madonna/Ritchie and Jarre/Rampling with the same brush.

You wouldn't, would you? Why? For me, this is yet another situation where a couple finds it hard to lead a matrimonial life because much of it is spent in different corners of the world, as if they were secret lovers, with no children and a home to look after.
Am I so wrong in comparing these two couples? No, I don't think so. On the surface, all these things are very similar for all couples, no matter if they're artists or not.
We've got lots of actors who went through this problem locally. If you go on a concert tour round the world, it makes things even worse. The distance always separates people.

Simply because thats my look upon the question raised. No harm in having an opinion.

There are so many couples who divorce...it's not necessarily because they are artists or have a job that make distance!

It is the distance that years can bring to the hearts....

so often when a couple divorce it's the end of a long process... :?

It's a matter of opinion but there is no need to get offensive about silly remarks. They might be to you but the persons making them are also entitled to their opinions, as it is what they believe in.

As for the comparison between Madonna/Guy and Charlotte/Jean Michel, different personalities, issues and the children's ages.

Kanta, you see English is not my mother's tongue, so there's no way for me to notice subtle nuances in that language, or to use it correctly. :) Blame it on the vocabulary I used to translate something that may as well be a regular form of expression for people from another part of the world but seems so outrageous to you.
