It was splendid. I got one of the very first places that were sold (great view even though the background screen was a bit obscured from the very right) and it would have been great for some video recording...)

... okay, on a bit more chronological order. Met Leelene (Livgivare), Glenn Folkvord and Ari Inkiläinen before the gig - great bunch of fellows, I even bought (after all these years) a copy of Jarre Forever ;) After that I bounced into the hall and got somewhat frustrated when the concert started about 10 minutes after 7:30... stupid airplane..

In the beginning Jarre bounced around the stage, swimming in applause and even asking a fellow audience member to repeat what he said ("Welcome to... Sweden"). Fancy times. As for the tracks, well, Variation I was still pretty lame but it still fit the whole "tuning old ladies" part of the beginning.

Oxygene 1 sounded... well, really great but very very similar to the actual album version. Oxygene 2... well, let's just say after all these years I've finally started to really like the track (I wonder why ;P).

But it really got great from Oxygene 3 onwards and pinnacled at Oxygene 5 and Variation III (Oxygene 4 sounded great, yes, but I still prefer the PLD version :P )... the latter sounded rather different to the LIYLR one but I guess that made it great.

Oxygene 6 was nice, really adored 12 (similarly to 2 I've started to like that track more now) and 13 was a nice finishing piece. In the mega-applause between 12 and 13 Jarre shook hands with most of the people on the front row, but as soon as he stopped some woman came to the front row and extended her arm and I guess it could have been really lame if he hadn't noticed it. :P Reminded me of Kanta for some reason...

And cameras were flashing all around. It appears that security only reacted when someone raised his camera too high for pictures. Of course at times (well, in the beginning with the slower tracks) it started to get annoying but if even 1/1000 of those photos get published on the net (especially by the guy with the professional camera next to me) it should be really great.

... of course what I really hope is that someone managed to record the thing in great quality. Can't beat what I heard myself there, but at least it would be a great item to remember the gig from. Even though this time I won't let the gig get removed from my memory databanks. And I guess the 120 euros I spent on merchandise will also do the trick

Thanks for your report, Finaero. :D 8)

Hehe, Finaero you thought of me. I am privileged. If you thought of me, then there maybe a chance that Jean Michel thinks of me, as well.

Photos here. Thanks to jokuno. :bravo:

Short video of Oxygene 12 here. Thanks to klaskatt. :bravo:

Amazing, a positive review. Gracias, Jerome!

Thanks for the links as well, Kanta. Who knows if JMJ's thoughts were on the same wavelength as mine :P

@Finaero: How was Jarre´s lead in Oxy 12?? In Copenhagen it was totally off beat at both concerts, which made the track a bit messy and muddy. Was it on spot in Sweeden?

No. I meant to write about it earlier but totally forgot it until now. :P

In fact, I just listened through the Copenhagen recording and even though the Stockholm gig in general was more spot-on (most notable during Oxygene 5), Oxygene 12 lead was actually a bit more in-sync in Copenhagen :P

It seems you had a really great time. Thanx for the story Finaero! :fine:

Finally some journalist of the swedish press that actually can appreciate what JMJ is doing!
(I like the headline; "The messier the better...")

Blimey, I totally forgot the "and JMJ kissed her hand" part until I saw her entry here. That's what totally reminded me of Kanta :p:

According to her own website she ran up to him and said: “Je t’aime!”
Perhaps that's the reason why?

Mayhaps.

Pretty cool videos here. Hell, a full recording from that angle would have been pretty great.

Leelene (Livgivare) is taking care of her studies right now. So she is not online. She is rather busy because of stress and exams.

But she was at the concert and liked the speech of enviroment and Sweden very much and of course Oxygene pt 4...hehe...and the rest of course...
