Hi there :D

I have a problem
I have a D50 and a PG1000 and soon (very soon) a JP8000
My problem is that I dunnow where I'll be able to take my PG1000, I have no desk around my synth so I think the only good idea is an extension for a X stand
For now, I unplug the PG1000 each time I want to go out my room, really annoying :/
And soon I'll buy an A880 so more cables, it'll be a mess.....
Will I be able to take on my X stand the D50+PG1000+JP8000 ?

Regards ;)

You can get some x-stand solution for 3 keyboards, I know because I have seen it several times, but I don't know any places to get them. Maybe König & Meyer have a solution.

A880 is not too expensive (less than 80€) and will permit me to plug the D50 to the PG1000 and to the PC at the same time that my future JP8000 !

Keyboards stands for 3 keyboards ?! Excellent :D But I have already the X stand, does an extension exist ?

You can get some extension arms but they are often made for a special model, but I can't say if they will fit into other stands. Some are made to put into the tube of the x-stand and others to be clasped on the tubes.

If you know a smith get him to make a custom-made stand for you. That's what I did. :P

Nico,

as an A-880 owner I suggest you NOT to look at it.
Do you know it can only mix (actually merge) two inputs at time?
That means you cannot use more than two midi outs at time from your controllers and/or computer.
Than if you process Sys Ex data you can easily have troubles of bytes lost here and there, especially if your MIDI devices send lots of MIDI messages fast.
A modern MIDI interface with 8x8 ports would be better, being directly connected to the computer.

I simply use painted paper boxes for my Keyboards. Cheap, flexible, easily exchangeably. Doesn´t look very "professional", but for using @home more than enough. Or (dunnow how it is called correctly) use gas beton stones, even very cheap. Presupposed, one has to the rear enough space (for three Keyboards ca. 90 cm space incl. cables).

I wanted to buy a A880 to plug at the same time my D50 to the computer and the PG1000 plus a JP8000 to the computer
I already have a M-Audio MidiSport 1x1 USB and a M-Audio 24/96 !!
I'll look for prices of 8x8 interfaces ;)

PHASEREFFECT : have you a photo of that ?
