Jean- Michel Jarre 's legendary light synth on eBay

It is a relic of the 80s which has just reappeared. A mad collector of Jean- Michel Jarre separated from his finest piece : the incredible light synth composer. Instrumental UFO ... designed by NASA.

80 more symbolic that this object, except for the Rubik's Cube and Milli Vanilli, we do not see too much. A fan of Jean- Michel Jarre is selling on eBay an iconic extraordinary piece, a time when donning a pastel jacket with broad shoulders were the height of chic for a guy.

A J Landeira, admirer of Jean- Michel, separates a portion of his collection of objects dedicated to the composer.

Among the disks, Pass concert and even a photo negative press where the musician figure, there is an incredible object, quasi-historical : a bright synth used in 1986 by Jean- Michel Jarre at a concert in Houston Pharaonic had gathered 1.3 million viewers.

Obviously, there is a copy in the world this semi circular instrument , designed in collaboration with engineers from NASA as stated in the ad. Sale price, without this little wonder combining technology and nostalgia Bids: 18 000.

Important detail , the instrument is sold with the original keyboard, which is not the case for all other parts. The ideal toy for a big surprise to a girl by replaying it, lights out, Oxygene Part 4 in the living room . A girl of 80 years, preferably.

It is already the 2nd or 3th time this is being sold on ebay:

Landeira bought it for 5000 Euro the last time.. and that crazy man now wants more than 3 times that money? :?

But that nothing compared to what he asked in 2010 (yes he tried to sell it before): 90,000 Euro! The idiot :wtf2:

I never understood why Jarre didn't keep these semi circular keyboards, as extraordinary instruments.
Did they own to Lag? Neither, according to the fact there were lost somewhere in France and nobody paid attention to them.

They really lack today in the modern Jarre's shows.

I guess they're just props at the end of the day. I figured there were all just locked up in storage but this suggests otherwise.

I'll take the LAG Insecte too :fine:

I guess Jean Michel himself is not having a JM Jarre Museum.

Thanks for the info!

Then again, I've never found the Houston keyboard that interesting. Mainly because one of my main introduction to his music was this baby:

Would love to get my hands on that one (or the Docklands/PLD circular keytar) in working condition, though. :]

I'll never understand how these pieces have gotten neglected before a fan came across them. Such a waste...

This Clavier Lumineux was kept in storage at a French warehouse, after a company called Loca Pose went bankrupt in 2001.
This was owned by Georges Lancelin (who also made the screens at EiC and hong Kong concerts).
After it got bankrupt, an former employee called Stéphane bought it in 2007, allong with two projectors and 1000 slides from Dockands.
"JMJ Jarre a abandonner ce clavier il y a plus de 20 ans dans les locaux de Lancelin car il a déposer le bilan après sa tourné et a planté le dit Lancelin de plus de 800 000 frs."
Here you'll find the pics of what shape it was in:

Nicolas Faubert made this video in 2009, don't know if he bought it:

It even served a (crappy) videoclip lol:

Then it got sold for 5000 euro to Landeira in 2010.
