Hello,

need a bit of help because it seems I don't find a way to do it by myself.
Do you remember those two JD-800 banks that Francis Rimbert shared a long time ago?
Well I have them, but in .mid format.

I don't have a Roland JD-800 but I have a JD-990, so they aren't directly compatible.
I use the JD-990 Patch Organizer and it opens .syx banks.
There is also a JD-800 to JD990 Bank Converter but, again, it opens only JD-800 .syx files.
So I'm not able to use these two banks.

I looked for some free midi-syxex format converter but the ones I tried fail to convert them correctly: the banks are partially empty, those few slots have names screwed and don't sound at all.

Anyone that can help me, please?
Perhaps a JD-800 is needed to save the banks directly in .syx format?

Thank you in advance

Indeed I found the JD-800 bank midi files on the same Rimbert's site.

Thankyou, indeed we are not so happy in Italy nowadays
Sending P.M.

All the best :)

I checked them and found some interesting patches that can be useful for my projects.

Indeed I expected more real JMJ sounds in it and less ugly ones (probably made for the jazzy albums ;) )

However thank you again Willem! :)

The problem with converting .mid banks to .syx ones still exists,
because I have some other ones... not JD800 only.
Any idea I could do the conversion?
