I posted this on the JMJ facebook page to no response, maybe someone here can help.

I avoided listening to Moby for my whole life because...well...he's Moby. I'm vaguely familiar with his style, but don't really know any albums or songs in depth. I really love the JMJ and Moby collaboration and was wondering if someone could recommend albums or songs which sound similar to "suns have gone". Maybe all of his stuff has a similar feel, but I want the most dark and depressing work possible. THANKS!

Moby's most inspirational composition
Moby says is his finest
That if it was classed as Classical
Would be one of the deepest emotive classical compositions
: comparable to anything deep composed by Bach, Brahms, Handel, Mahler
Is

God moving over the face of the waters

His biggest success is his 1999's album "Play". Contains some gems like Porcelain. I would def. recommend that album.

Thanks for the responses guys - I will have to check these recommendations out. Even my boss can't get that new song out of his head. We run an indie record store and NEVER thought we'd be interested in Moby :pwned:

If an artist is old enough, it will become indie/alternative automatically.
