Jarre tracks that you would hid under the sofa so your friends and family can't see them.

I know some will say the Fourth Rendez-Vous, but I still love it.
Magnetic Fields 2 I also like..

The Three that stand out for me are:
The Last Rumba (no surprise there)
Calyspo 1 - Terrible
And sadly Equinoxe 8, was I can forgive because the first seven are outstanding.

How could someone say 4th Rendez-Vous? It's an anthem like no other.

Most cringy tracks... Souvenir of China, Last Rumba, Together Now.

It's hard to differentiate between the stuff he did in the post-Helza era.

Tout Est Bleu: I like the singleversion more than the album version but it's still a cringey track. If the song was instrumental without the "Tout est bleu dans tes yeux" (or something like that) on repeat, it will be much better. The live variation "Light My Sky" sound still a bit cringey. Why? Because they put other lyrics like "Ooooh, light my sky, sexy girl" (or something like that) above a remix of "Tout Est Bleu". You can hear still some sampled lyrics of the original in "Light My Sky". It was nice and cool for one time (at the AERO concert in Denmark) but at Gdansk it sounds dull and cheap. and the orchestra there can't make the song better.

Some live versions of good tracks are cringey too! For example: Equinoxe 7 (AERO concert, Denmark), Magnetic Fields 2 (AERO concert, Denmark), ...

Greetings,

Christophe

Most overplayed song in any Jarre concert. It's been played at every JMJ concert except La Concorde, Europe in Concert and the Oxygene 2007-2008 tour obviously. Paris 98 doesn't count as a JMJ concert

That doesn't make the track cringey, only overplayed! There are other tracks in the musical career of Jarre that are worthy to play live but never played live. For Example Zoolook, Diva, Rendez-Vous 1 (the complete track, not that short intro of Rendez-Vous 2 at La Defense), Globe Trotter, ...

Greetings,

Christophe

But I didn't say that. I only said it because for me it's time to get some drinks or go to the toilet when that track's on.

When I look to a concert of Jarre ( on DVD or TV of course) I take my drinks with me all the time for to see it in relaxed way.

It ain't that bad. Quite a clever track about the seductive nature of technology.
Although I think it is the weakest of the tracks Jarre has done with Laurie.
For me the only real stinker on the new album is the Massive Attack track.

I don't really care for "Rely On Me". As in, I never listen to it.

But it has a certain charm for anyone who has played the computer game System Shock 2 (released in 1999). ;)
