The zoomed in top right of the C'est La Vie file, to show the higher frequencies. This track is not very dynamic, seeing the wav at the top :D

WAV rip from Oxygene 7 (part 1)
2018 CD release on top and 2016 Trilogy CD [Disc 2] at the bottom.

I think that it's pretty safe to say they are from the same mix/remaster.

Again same track Oxygene 7, 2018 CD on top vs Sony/Dreyfus 1997 CD at the bottom.

The 2018 and 2016 seem to be identical yeah.

Finaero wrote:I still like the "Oxygene 10 playing at the beginning of Oxygene 7" unintentional easter egg... sort of gives it a "humane" touch (in the vein of that random phone ring in the middle of "Rock The Casbah", IIRC).
I've never been able to find that "easter egg" on my 1997 CD, the volume must be so low... Can anyone help me pinpoint where this can be heard (approx. min:sec)? Thanks!

And yes, even with that one you have to listen closely to hear the beat and the Theremin lead of Oxygene 10 playing faintly in the background.

(Sure, you can make O10 out better if you listen to the whole initial laser harp intro at a very louf volume, but that WAV might be the best and most ear-friendly example you can make out of it)

15 minute response time? WOW, now *that*'s customer service :-) Thank you very much Finaero!

The master tape of Oxygene 7-13 was still magnetic correct? If so, probably just bleed through from the magnetic tape. Honestly never noticed it myself.

Yeah, I think the book in the Oxygene Trilogy LP set even has a pic of the Oxygene 7-13 mastertape. But yeah, I was unaware of the "O10 leaking issue" myself until someone here mentioned it a few years ago.

(Would rank "Oxygene 10 leaking during the start of Oxygene 7" ahead of "extra beat in RV4 (right before the lead kicks in)" and much ahead of "useless "extra beat" in the form of a copy-paste mistake in Ethnicolor @ 1997 Sony remaster")

Beliieve it or not, yesterday I saw the new Oxygène 7-13 CD in a record store in New Jersey. Pretty rare to see Jarre CDs (or even LPs) in record stores in the US, let alone a new release in new condition! Incidentally I saw a used Houston-Lyon CD too... I should play the lottery...

The CD booklet of Metamorphoses is almost the same as the 2000 release, except for the cover. Geometry of Love has a booklet now, which the original didn't have. The biggest change in artwork is Oxygene 7-13, which has a totally different booklet with photos of the equipment used, just like Oxygene 3 has.
