If I understand correctly, the sound you are looking at could be coming from the Dynacord ADD-One. It has analog resonant filters and it is regarded as one of the best drum samplers of all time. You can spot it in JMJ studio in several pictures of that period. In the early 90s I remember Roland S-55...

well spotted, guys. that monitor looks really cool/vintage... almost "fairlightish"... can you think of a modern LCD upon that vintage goodness? I had the S-550 and when connected to a simple TV monitor it looked exactly like that. From the picture I'd say the page is on the Performance sc...

Black&white monitor on Fransis' keyboards?

Anyone know, what this monitor is used for

monitor

Jarre joked about it, when he introduced the band, saying Fransis played a lot of old synths, effects and old black & white monitors :)

Re: How to recreate the sound FX in Oxygene2 ?

Hi all. I'm talking of a sound based on an LFO with variable speed and a pitch bend down at the end of the sound. I can't figure out how to recreate this sound. :? At 0:25 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Q00HQwO2Sg What the LFO is modulating, that kind of stuff... I would be very grateful to anyone...

The owner´s manual is full of them. Stephen Ok thanks. Oxygene ones though? Do you know the pages? I can´t remember off-hand, but there was a patch sheet of that famous "hand-clapping sequence" as used in O5. For other sounds I´d just transfer the slider settings from the various promo sh...

Great Job, especially since you programmed the Synthex sound within the virtual synth Thor! Curiosly the Elka Synthex is not velocity sensitive, neither from its keyboard nor via MIDI, so the harder attack some repeated notes have in the tune is not due to stronger velocities but it's a side effect ...

@ thhedk : great cover and great video! Did you use Korg's arpeggiator or did you program every note for the fast arpeggio notes? Very very good! As to the drums I think that the main rhythm is ONLY TR-808. The "pulse" rhythm is 808 KICK+SNARE and the also hats are clearly 808. I think the...

Interesting thread, the Kurzweil was the first keyboard I played that had a proper keyboard on it, was too rich for me back in 1991 :D Was quite impressive to have that much sample ROM to play with back then. Would be interesting to see how they've aged, most 90's ROMplers sound a bit thin now. I r...

I don't think it's the RSF; in the CIC the following year RSF was used for the sequences and they sound a lot different (apart from the intro which should be the original tape played at half speed...) Radek, congrats for the K2000! I am a fan of that machine. As to the LCD, in my rack version 3 from...

I think thhedk is absolutely right. Sadly the Equinoxe 7 Bass discussion is spread over several threads here, so it's not easy to track every comment. Some monthes ago I posted mine on another topic about "ARTURIA PRESETS/G Forse presets" and I was guessing a similar approach. The point of...

Thank You for nice compliments. This with drums. I think You have probably right, It could be more power. I have good Linn samples. I must to experiment with various compressor settings and reverbs. For Example snare in original Souvenir in China sounds genial and powerfull but I am not sure why (e...
