Hi all!
Let's be fair to the man. It's early day's yet. And, as Francis Rimbert indicated, the tracklist may change from concert to concert.
The fact that they will be playing stuff live and without backing tracks and computers, perhaps makes the setlist more elastic.
I am looking forward to seeing ...

A CD would be good also, maybe a compilation of takes from each show. EG Oxygene 1 from Dublin, part 2 from Manchester etc. The thing is. We don't have an audio recording of this new version either. It's criminal that the variations have been missed out of the new recording. Surely he could have ...

Live DVD?

Do we think it would be out of the question to expect a Live DVD of this tour?
I mean the RAH concert is surely a candidate for filming. Has anybody noticed a camera crew at any of the concerts so far? I can just bet the audio for each concert is being recorded anyway.
I think the live ...

Just a bit of good old fashioned live playing! I think Jarre kind of lost the beat at bits. The mixing was a bit off as well. Oh well, who cares? If I wanted to hear it perfect, I'd have stayed at home and listened to the CD!
However, the bit where he grabs the stool with his foot during Oxygene 13 ...

I know how hard it must be for all of you, the wait can be agonising.
My advice is not to go on to you tube and view any clips, rather keep them for re-living it when you come home.
Trust me, it's better and the music is fresher that way.
I envy all of you who have yet to see it. Patience, for ...

I also would advise anybody to stay behind after the show and go up to the stage to catch a glimpse of the set up. I guarantee you will never get to see such a collection of analogue gear. I spent 10 mins just gazing at the instruments thinking "They have been going since before I was born".
The ...

Yes, you can expect a full report of what to expect. Just as a matter of interest, he is already in Glasgow. He arrived yesterday. I spotted the trucks unloading equipment in on my way to work yesterday. I glimpsed a EIC stencilled flightcase.
Apparently he needed 2 days to perfect the set up ...

Ah yes, I see that now, but I could only see one mirror above the stage. I wonder if there will be more? I hope he has some lasers in the show as well. I have spent that last 11 years saying how amazing the last Oxygene tour was he has a lot to live up to!!!!
Having said that I did say at the time ...

There is another possibilty.........

Ok, maybe I'm very thin on this idea but here goes.
We all know that JMJ is a prodigious archiver and that he makes extensive notes when making albums. Is it not possible that he kept a diary as it were of his recording the original and used the original master and his notes as a "guide" to ...

Oxygene in Glasgow

Hi, got my tickets this morning. Anyone else going?
Also will this concert be in 5.1? Never experienced that before at a concert. The guy in the ticket office said that the concert is on from 8pm, no support and should finish between 10 and 1030pm. He also told me that JMJ and his team will be in ...

Hmm. Has this been a ploy to annoy Dreyfus. It seems ludicrous that JMJ doesn't own the masters after all this time. There is still a valid copyright on the new O2 30th even if he hasn't replayed all of it. The copyright violation is in the mechanical copyright. I:E the recording. Now if he owns the ...

When I visited São Paulo I remember a-ha played there for New Year's Eve I believe.

They were very popular at the time. I think there is a VHS or DVD of their concert in Brazil. They would play their music on the radio constantly.

I don't know if Duran Duran is better. It's a subjectie thing. I ...

Despair........

So no concerts in Scotland this year? Can't say I'm surprised. It seems no promoter here wants to take a risk. I mean I could have got tickets for Birmingham, Manchester or indeed the RAH, but he didn't give those of us with jobs/post xmas debt much time to prepare did he? I remember in 97 the ...

The ticket prices will not be determined by Jean-Michel Jarre but by the promoter. Jean-Michel will recieve a flat fee for one gig or several depending on if he is using one or several promoters. It is a sad fact that music fans will always be subject to price hikes. 7 years ago I went to see the ...
