Welcome to the new BlahBlahCafe!

A new server, a new environment. Updated and all.

As with every migration, some things might have been lost in translation (at least, that's my experience in software development). The main problem is logging in into the boards. These could be caused by several reasons:

- Your browser cache & cookies need to be cleared because we moved to a new server. If you get the error message whilst logging: "The submitted form was invalid. Try submitting again.", you need to clear your cache & cookies. You can find a "Delete cookies" option at the bottom of this page.

- There is also a chance that your password is not correctly converted to the new system. This is a known bug with migrating the system. The only solution is to request a new password, there's a link on the form that will send an email to you to create a new password. If that fails, I can set a password for you, you can contact us at the "Contact us" link at the bottom of the page.

Bright Shining Stars - I Will Stand

Bright Shining Stars is a new band/project I am working on. We are currently writing our first EP, and this is the first track from this EP...:

Bright Shining Stars - I Will Stand

The song actually is about the fight against anorexia... I wonder what you guys and gals think about this?

I'm way behind on the art of creating a good mix - though I do enjoy the challenge of making a replica cover whenever I get the urge. The Revolutions covers came from the fact that I recently bought 2 D50's , 2 D550's and a PG1000. So I put together the arrangements to be able to play the pieces li...

Jogeir Liljedahl - Guitar Slinger (Armandox 2015 Remake)

Another release on the ASE Music label. This time a track that goes way back to my roots of modules and tracking, the demoscene on the Commodore 64 and Amiga homecomputers. I always had a particular fondness for this track by Norwegian Jogeir Liljedahl and took it upon myself to remake (or if you wi...

The Spirit Absolute Zero are not bad nearfields at all. A bit older, but not bad at all. Mixing on headphones is a big nono btw :-) I've heard about but never worked with Reaper. I've use many DAW's and programs, from budget Magix Music Maker, to Sony Acid Pro, FL Studio and Propellerheads Reason. B...

You guys are right - my mixes are poor and it's an area I am not good at and understand very little of any of the theory, so absolutely no offence taken I agree I do get the sounds and notes close ( which is what I focus on ) I suspect it's my hearing that's been exposed to high noise for years Is ...

You know matt, it's interesting that you say this. Why? Because for years I've been meaning to tell you that your mixes are too bright. (Obscene amounts of high frequency content.) Part of Jarre's 70's and 80's music's charm is that they are fairly rounded/warm sounding. This is both intentional on...

How much of the percussions on that album are from the SDX? I vaguely remember reading that the bass kick drum was from ADD-ONE and the snare from Akai MPC(?). It's a mixture of sounds from the SDX, ADD1 and Fairlight CMI. On Industrial Revolution: Overture i.e... The snare is from the Simmons SDX:...

Off-topic, but I'd say my favorite non-replica JMJ cover this year is this one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SmFTmPz0rQ4 ;) Now this is an original interpretation, and thus yes, thumbs up from me! I like the use of the Elka 707 rhythm-box in the tune. This actually made me smile!!! It's kinda Mag...

Sounds solid! But... when are you going to do a remix or something? I mean, there's already a JMJ and being a copycat is not that hard... Would like to hear something more original than just a 1-to-1 replica if you catch my drift? Where's the creativity?!

Again sounds rushed... maybe something that goes wrong in the conversion over there orso? But what a great track man!!! I could've thought I was listening to the Docklands-concert again :-) Very nice and skillful programming of your synthe's there mate and great playing aswell!

Listened again, the 'rushed' feeling was just between the ears. Solid sounds on your remix and one can hear you have the actual hardware, whereas I'm just working with Roland Cloud (which is not bad at all bad btw). But it lacks that little extra sparkle and defination in the highs, not even to ment...

Grow Along - Free Your Mind

Improv recording during a jammsession in one of the studio's. A song about freeing your mind... enjoy!

P.S.: I cannot be held accountable for the pronuciation, grammar or anything btw. Ramona invented and sung the lyrics in 1 take. This is one-take stuff improvised
