Re: Renault

A release in the style of Radiophonie with lots of Renault experiments would be great. Make for a good selection of sounds to add to my phone as text alerts!

Re: Rendezvous Lyon Broadcast, repaired and remastered

One of the moments that Lyonnais remember, the highlight of the papal visit, was "the concert for the pope" of the pioneer of electronic music, Jean-Michel Jarre, from the steps of the courthouse. On the banks of the Saône, 800,000 people came to vibrate for the sound and light of the Lyo...

Counterpoint.... when you are 73 years old a one-off is probably easier than a multi-date tour!

A City In Concert - will it ever happen again?

I am curious what answer people on this message board will give to this question: Q : Will a Jean-Michel Jarre "City In Concert" ever happen again? A : On a scale of 1 to 10 where 1 is NEVER and 10 is CERTAINLY - and please explain your thinking! With issues such as costs, security, the pa...

https://www.hamhigh.co.uk/things-to-do/ilan-eshkeri-tim-peake-space-station-earth-8918364 For his score, Eshkeri drew inspiration from Jean-Michel Jarre to Steve Reich and films 2001 A Space Odyssey and Fantasia. He uses vintage instruments, a Moog, a Roland Juno-6, and a Gibson Flying V guitar whic...

Re: FAKE WARNING FOR THE FOLLOWING (EBAY) ITEMS

The effort on the packaging really is awesome! This must take some time, so no wonder the prices are high.

I remember the Mojo award. I think that was 2010? There were some at that time who thought it was a joke (!) but that was a turning point I think.

Re: A short history of electronic music: the instruments and innovators that defined a genre

Wow! Look how history is being kind to JMJ. This sort of adulation would be unthinkable in the English music press just 15 or 20 years ago. He was derided by pretty much all music journalism. I recall scathing reviews of the Paris La Défense video release, the Images (Best of) album and the Chronolo...

Re: Moscow 1997 concert alternative video

Maybe it's the camera equipment, compared to a professional set up but the projections look really gloomy. PLD was really bright and clear, even from a distance and that was 7 years earlier. Was it a bit misty/foggy in Moscow that night?

That photo is captioned 1975 but I thought JMJ and Charlotte only met in the summer of 1976?
