Welcome to the new BlahBlahCafe!

A new server, a new environment. Updated and all.

As with every migration, some things might have been lost in translation (at least, that's my experience in software development). The main problem is logging in into the boards. These could be caused by several reasons:

- Your browser cache & cookies need to be cleared because we moved to a new server. If you get the error message whilst logging: "The submitted form was invalid. Try submitting again.", you need to clear your cache & cookies. You can find a "Delete cookies" option at the bottom of this page.

- There is also a chance that your password is not correctly converted to the new system. This is a known bug with migrating the system. The only solution is to request a new password, there's a link on the form that will send an email to you to create a new password. If that fails, I can set a password for you, you can contact us at the "Contact us" link at the bottom of the page.

Is he talking about new VR concerts at the end of the year?

And EoN for Android next year.

Re: Did the Lyon concert request come after the Houston concert?

I guess it was all done after the Houston concert. I don't know when the city of Lyon started preparing the festivities for the Pope´s visit. About the time-frame: that is impressive. It certainly helped that Houston was done earlier that year and Lyon was much smaller in scope. But that happens mor...

Re: Does JMJ look back on Oxygene 7-13 with some regret?

I agree with you on Oxygene 7-13 being the odd one out. The album is much more melodic than Oxygene 1-6 and Oxygene 14-20 are. I think it fits Equinoxe more than Oxygene in that regard. Oxygene 3 (the song) is referred to at the end of Oxygene 16, where it's played in a major key, instead of a minor...

Re: What is the name of the two large clear plastic boxes?

I was skimming through some old magazines (Clavier magazine from 1990 for example), because I could have sworn the instrument is mentioned there. It wasn't... I think it was made by LAG who made most of his custom instruments around that time.

The La Defense concert programme doesn't mention any story structie like that.

Oh, 12 Dreams of the Sun was divided into 12 parts, called "Dreams", each with its own announcement by Laurie Anderson.

Re: Why was there no outdoor concert between Concorde and Houston?

Oh, there's quite a few. There's Dusseldorf in 1994, Madrid in 1993, both were with sold tickets but were cancelled due to several reasons (Madrid was weather, Dusseldorf was politics), the EoN concerts in Paris which were to happen last month were cancelled due to the pandemic. Then there were the ...

Re: Is the Moscow crowd size really accurate?

I always doubted the number myself, just like Rod Steward's Rio concert in 1994. I guess it's all a dick-measuring contest. But I was not there, so I'm not sure if there were screens placed on several places in the city. I know those screen count towards Rod's Rio crowd, so I bet these were also cal...

Re: What happened to the Tokyo concert?

Plans for Destination Tokyo were there. Mark Fisher was involved, he made some concept art which was later published in the book "Rock Sets": tokyo1.jpg tokyo2.jpg It was planned in 1988, but then Docklands happened with all the delays so it was postponed to 1989. Unfortunately, that year ...

Chronologie being renamed to Chronology bothers me too. In fact, the Chronologie tracks were called "Chronology" on the Aero compilation in 2004 already.

Re: Why was there no outdoor concert between Concorde and Houston?

After La Concorde, he got some plans which eventually didn't go through. You mentioned London in another post, he also mentioned Tokyo and New York in the news article at the back of the La Concorde 7" single. Why they didn't go ahead is anyone's guess, but I bet it has to do with costs, politi...

Re: Does JMJ look back on Oxygene 7-13 with some regret?

I doubt it. He played Oxygene 12 and 13 at the 2007/2008 Oxygene 30th anniversary tour, and both those tracks were regular tracks at many concerts, Oxygene 8 as recent as the Electronica tour. You know how it is with press-PR. But I do agree, a few nods to Oxygene 7-13 would have made it more cohere...
