Welcome to the new BlahBlahCafe!

We have migrated to a new server. As with every migration, some things might have been lost in translation (at least, that's my experience in software development). The main problem is logging in into the boards. These could be caused by several reasons:

- Your browser cache & cookies need to be cleared because we moved to a new server. If you get the error message whilst logging: "The submitted form was invalid. Try submitting again.", you need to clear your cache & cookies. You can find a "Delete cookies" option at the bottom of this page.

- There is also a chance that your password is not correctly converted to the new system. This is a known bug with migrating the system. The only solution is to request a new password, there's a link on the form that will send an email to you to create a new password. If that fails, I can set a password for you, you can contact us at the "Contact us" link at the bottom of the page.

I've never heard ['ramp], but I really enjoy Mark Shreeve's work on the REDSHIFT and ARC projects (don't like his solo stuff under his own name though). So I will definitely check this out! Is there anywhere I can listen to ['ramp] samples? Thanks for asking :). You can check some snippets at www.s...

['ramp] -- steel and steam (feat. Mark Shreeve)

Hi all, I would like to announce the release of the new ['ramp] album "steel and steam" for 1st july 2011. It is going to be the successor to the 2009 ['ramp] album "debris", and very much like "debris", it had been in the making for quite some time. There will be six s...

Thirdly, Arturia's synths are probably the worst choice of software synthesizers you could have chosen, since their emulation algos are for the most part, disappointing. In short they made their synths sound somewhat like their purported hardware counterparts, but at the same time they also made al...

They are quite good but I think the bigger models like the Omega 8 are quite overpriced for what they can do but hey, what do I know? The other monophonic ones are quite interesting once you´ve said goodbye to the idea of them sounding exactly like the originals. Their functions seem to be software-...

An Odyssey with Sequencer, to be precise. Carlos Peròn also had a 2600.

I´m sorry but I was wetting myself when having a look at his website (thanks for the link)... c´mon, this kind of look in his eyes would give me either the creeps or a burst of endless laughter. I bet among his closest friends are Erich von Däniken and Uri Geller... give me a break! It´s a blessing ...

Anyone have any Harmonic Generator partial settings for RMI, specifically used on Oxygene? The owner´s manual is full of them. Stephen Ok thanks. Oxygene ones though? Do you know the pages? I can´t remember off-hand, but there was a patch sheet of that famous "hand-clapping sequence" as u...

I know a guy who owns one (one of the 4 known RMI's in Europe (that's including JMJ's)). I had a long talk with him about the RMI, got samples and pictures of his RMI (sorry can't share them I had to promise that and I keep my promisses). He explained exactly how to do it. Parsick? So...there are 4...

When TD became a daddy-and-son operation, the whole band went down the tubes IMO. But I must confess that I wasn´t too fond of Haslinger-period of TD, either. If I want to hear superficial pop tunes, I´d rather listen to superficial pop music.

Of the few TG CD's I have, by far the best IMO is their soundtrack to the film Legend. Fantastic themes to a great film. Some pure analogue goodness in there Nico. Look out for the 20th anniversay edition if possible. Had to get mine from the US. TG would be Throbbing Gristle. A very nice band, ind...

Triadex Muse Sequencer / Tone Generator

Hi all, here is a demo track I´ve created using the rare Triadex Muse device, an oddball from early electronic music / synthesiser history: http://soundcloud.com/doombient-music/triadex-muse-demo I´ve as well uploaded some other stuff I´m responsible for (musically, that is). Enjoy (or not), Stephen.

It's actually a bass-guitar like sound. I wouldn't program that on an additive digital synth.. :nico: The RMI was capable of some really warm stuff, as was the KC. Have a listen to the right channel bass sequence on Oxygene 5. Unless he got the 2600 to do that, the RMI HS, it seems, is quite capabl...
