Welcome to the new BlahBlahCafe!

Currently, we are experiencing some DNS problems. We hope to fix this as soon as possible.

We have migrated to a new server. As with every migration, some things might have been lost in translation (at least, that's my experience in software development). The main problem is logging in into the boards. These could be caused by several reasons:

- Your browser cache & cookies need to be cleared because we moved to a new server. If you get the error message whilst logging: "The submitted form was invalid. Try submitting again.", you need to clear your cache & cookies. You can find a "Delete cookies" option at the bottom of this page.

- There is also a chance that your password is not correctly converted to the new system. This is a known bug with migrating the system. The only solution is to request a new password, there's a link on the form that will send an email to you to create a new password. If that fails, I can set a password for you, you can contact us at the "Contact us" link at the bottom of the page.

Yes, Chrisbern's bass modulations are the best yet I think. Looking forward to more of your Equinoxe work Beeloo. Thank You Matt :). I loved this bass sequence (and solo between Eq6 and 7) allways and I tried various ways until I created this version. Now I am happy with my result :) Chris, I just ...

I know it is reported that D.Perrier said it was probably from a M1R I was the one who asked it, and there was no "probably" in his answer: he said it with clear certainty. I also have to say that Perrier's words have more credibility than for example Rimbert's. ...that said... fullstop! ...

As far as I know for the Solina-like Ensemble sound the only chorus effect to have...hem... THE EFFECT is the one brought to our attention by SynthX. It is called JH Triple Chorus and it is aimed exactly at this. http://www.jhaible.de/triple_chorus/triple_chorus.html http://matrixsynth.blogspot.com/...

As for its VL(acoustic emulation) stuff, perhaps maybe a little old in terms of what we have today, but they are passable and at the time of release I suspect would have been very good, certainly gives the Moss Board or Z1/Prophecy a run for its money. What would be the best rack synth for that sort o...

Super! Great job again, after the MIDIpops the Solina MIDI, very interesting and impressive. One question: since the SSE (for short) has already GATE & TIGGER outputs in ARP standard, do you know if it's possible to obtain a CV OUT signal? I like the keyboard of the Solina a lot and I'd like to ...

The JD-990 is considered by many gear addicts the best sounding Roland PCM based synth of the 90's. Superb for pads, many extra features than its older forerunner. The JD-990 can handle only 1 Expansion card (like the JV-880), nearly everyone with a JD-990 has a Vintage Card in it, actually half of ...

The Elka Synthex had a MIDI interface (first as a breakout box attached to the computer interface on the revision 2 and than directly fitted on revision 3) and it was just responding to Note ON / Note OFF, so there were no chances to use velocity as a modulation source. The Laser Harp sound was from...

Will a K2000 ever reach a state in which you stop working on it, hardware-wise? I think I finally found a decent HDD for my keyboard. Now I need to fit it in (and a sampler or two for the HDDs that didn't work in the Kurzweil, teehee). The Orchestral ROM is back in it, too, and it's working. Next s...

Kanta, it should be a DiGiCo SD7 digital mixing desk; I think that Acer is just an LCD Monitor that is close to the desk.

Congrats! Well done, I have been a Kurzweil fan since 1992, when I auditioned and played a K2000 in a store, I was amazed. But I couldn't absolutely afford it, it was more or less what today is 4000 EUR. But what great sounds... I heard on it very convincing portamento-analog like sounds, that back ...

Wow JMP, compliments for your new gear! Instant 80s...! I think it sounds great. I always wanted to find one at a reasonable price, but I didn't. Does this library come from a CD-ROM or from floppies? Did you add the Reverb effect to the People are People drums or are they sampled with effect ? For ...

Nico, and what about a good old hardware sampler? The Roland S-760 for example, is considered the best sounding S series sampler and today it can retail for 150 Euros, with full memory (32 MB) and the digital I/O option which included mouse and Monitor option (you can hook to it also a TV if I am no...
