Welcome to the new BlahBlahCafe!

Currently, we are experiencing some DNS problems. We hope to fix this as soon as possible.

We have migrated to a new server. As with every migration, some things might have been lost in translation (at least, that's my experience in software development). The main problem is logging in into the boards. These could be caused by several reasons:

- Your browser cache & cookies need to be cleared because we moved to a new server. If you get the error message whilst logging: "The submitted form was invalid. Try submitting again.", you need to clear your cache & cookies. You can find a "Delete cookies" option at the bottom of this page.

- There is also a chance that your password is not correctly converted to the new system. This is a known bug with migrating the system. The only solution is to request a new password, there's a link on the form that will send an email to you to create a new password. If that fails, I can set a password for you, you can contact us at the "Contact us" link at the bottom of the page.

I am impressed too. I must admit the look of it made me feel it like a homekeyboard wannabe something more. I read the SOS review at the times and I remember the specs were more than interesting. This tremendous review shows it is even more, it's a real bargain for that money. I'd be curious to try ...

I might have been unclear in my previous post. To make it simple: The master tapes usually aren't intended as all the recorded material. Normally the master tapes are intended only as the final stereo mix tape. The multitrack tapes are tapes which contain the separate recording of the individual ins...

I think that some differences have to be noticed. From what I read in Nico's translation - unfortunately I don't speak French - the question is about the "Master". "The Master" has always been intended as the master tape on which the final mix was recorded, ready to be sent to th...

As Nico just reminded me about this unknown box, I want to know now what it is :P This black box which is connected to the 2500: Image Hi guys, the black box is one of the earliest MIDI/CV converters, and it's called Roland MPU-101. It makes possible to play up to 4 pre-MIDI devices from a MIDI Key...

Hi guys, I am back...! Sorry Rubberlips for answering PM late. I didn't know Eco Disc. It seems eco friendly but really less user friendly... I remember when 5 or 6 years ago we put a Shakira Cactus protected CD into the iMac (the white one, the Star Treky ball with a LCD on top :D ). It was a night...

... I don't like the way people compare Hardware to their software counterparts, like they commited a crime by not replicating it 100% because your already handicapped by the fact of them being different platforms. It really grates on me when these Analog geeks say it sounds nothing like the real thi...

Re: a few intriguing Jarre moments and instruments...

Hi there ... First thing is a horn-like sharp pad in Ethnicolor1, in the part where the drums start and the piece explodes toward the end. I always thought it is Oberheim OBX-a, but It could perhaps be a Prophet 5 too, so does anyone know which one is it? Then there is the brass lead in Oxygen 8, w...

... As for the Pedal in Question(1),it certainly looks like an EH model from the Sketchy Lettering detail, although they made several versions of the Smallstone, there are only really 3 main models, all of which are pictured, they did make a Badstone edition, but this is more like the EH Electric Mistre...

Do you know JMJ use original small stone or mod small stone like Radek ? thx Olivier At the times of Oxygene 7-13 the French magazine Keyboards published an article with pictures of the JMJ's studio and a particular on the EH pedals used: http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b208/pete_p/Pedals.jpg the...

I remember very well the DX7 / M1 / D-50 era. At that time I was 16 and playing a keyboard in front of an audience (little or big) meant also to have a stylish instrument. The Korg M1 was so cool for us with that rounded shape, flashing rounded buttons instead of that "ugly and out of fashion t...

and please take me seriously next time... I'm not sure what your trying to emply here. It's not really a big deal, just an observation. I was merely stating a fact that the official Roland Catalog lists thie 909 as a "Flagship" model (not my words, but that of Roland), even though they do...
