Welcome to the new BlahBlahCafe!

We have migrated to a new server. As with every migration, some things might have been lost in translation (at least, that's my experience in software development). The main problem is logging in into the boards. These could be caused by several reasons:

- Your browser cache & cookies need to be cleared because we moved to a new server. If you get the error message whilst logging: "The submitted form was invalid. Try submitting again.", you need to clear your cache & cookies. You can find a "Delete cookies" option at the bottom of this page.

- There is also a chance that your password is not correctly converted to the new system. This is a known bug with migrating the system. The only solution is to request a new password, there's a link on the form that will send an email to you to create a new password. If that fails, I can set a password for you, you can contact us at the "Contact us" link at the bottom of the page.

Yes, and I'm not really satisfied with it yet. I did it on the JP8000 and added a bit of white noise from one oscillator to give it some 'breath'. It's the exact notation that is tricky as it was played extremely freely. It also has some sort of trill or vibrato over certain notes. When disecting so...

Got you now!

Yes, I never considered the square solo as a flute sound but I know what you mean.

Glad you like the flute solo - difficult one to reproduce.

How long did you take to nail the right timbre?

Difficult to get it exactly right, ain't it? :)

They are 1 or 2 inversions lower than the main part and at a reduced level. But what is the counter melody we keep refering to?

I have also just noticed a mistake right before it changes to the 2nd part. I played the standard Fm chord which should be a Dm for the first time.

Oxygene 2....Superb,Nice to hear an actual cover that includes the Counter melody under the Flute part Isn't that counter melody your refering to just the delayed signal of the flute part that I've panned left? In the second part of Oxy 2 as far as I was aware, there are the following elements ; Ba...

I like you Equinoxe, you always have something substantial to say and it's interesting to read your intelligent responses.

I would be really interested to hear your covers, is it possible?

It's curious though, that previous concerts other than his latest oxygene tour contained really accurate versions of Oxygene and all other tracks with all elements present. Live playing practiced from accurate scores, sequencer controlled or audio recording ?

Re: Equinoxe 5-6-7

Interesting question. Parts 5-6-7 have the same bass sequence that only changes part way into part 7. The other main sequences were played by and created on the Matrisequencer. This was designed for Jarre by collaborator Michel Geiss after Oxygene, though I doubt if it would have been done in one sh...

The last tour's score book must have been pretty limited judging by the huge differences in notation to the Oxygen album. I have all the songbooks and to be frank, to sound anywhere near the originals, they are pretty useless with the exeption of perhaps Waiting for Cousteau. Even the simplest of Ja...
