Welcome to the new BlahBlahCafe!

We have migrated to a new server. As with every migration, some things might have been lost in translation (at least, that's my experience in software development). The main problem is logging in into the boards. These could be caused by several reasons:

- Your browser cache & cookies need to be cleared because we moved to a new server. If you get the error message whilst logging: "The submitted form was invalid. Try submitting again.", you need to clear your cache & cookies. You can find a "Delete cookies" option at the bottom of this page.

- There is also a chance that your password is not correctly converted to the new system. This is a known bug with migrating the system. The only solution is to request a new password, there's a link on the form that will send an email to you to create a new password. If that fails, I can set a password for you, you can contact us at the "Contact us" link at the bottom of the page.

Thank you Kanta for the info! There is an interesting statement in this interview: "The last track, Équinoxe Infinity, was made together with a group at Microsoft that specializes in artificial intelligence. I added to the algorithm my "personal big data" made of samples, loops and so...

Thanks for the info... Yes, it's a bit odd that nobody participated, even when the tour was near the collaborators or when collaborators were onstage at the same festival... Maybe it's just that JMJ had the track list so locked in for this tour that he didn't actually invite anyone...

Electronica collaborator(s) on stage during Electronica tour

Hi,

Does anyone know how many co-writers on the Electronica project went on stage during the Electronica tour?

AFAIK only Peaches participated. That was at the Berlin show in October 2016.

Cheers!

https://www.dropbox.com/s/4ccd4on0z79iwzh/1997.wav?dl=0 And yes, even with that one you have to listen closely to hear the beat and the Theremin lead of Oxygene 10 playing faintly in the background. (Sure, you can make O10 out better if you listen to the whole initial laser harp intro at a very lou...

I still like the "Oxygene 10 playing at the beginning of Oxygene 7" unintentional easter egg... sort of gives it a "humane" touch (in the vein of that random phone ring in the middle of "Rock The Casbah", IIRC) . I've never been able to find that "easter egg"...

I remember a TV show back in 1997 when JMJ explained the title (instead of the more obvious Oxygène 2). Beside indicating the opening and ending tracks, numbers 7 and 13 have opposite "meanings", 7 being positive (good luck) and 13 being negative (bad luck). Of course it depends on your cu...

I thought the same. The first cover didn't make me think of "man living in harmony with nature" as the PR blurb mentioned, it made me think about nature *after* mankind. With remnants of "civilization" in the form of those statues (provided they were not made by extraterrestrials...

Re: Finaero's comment "Quite the Division Bell-like cover art there." Quite true! Something majestic about the statues of the watchers, Easter Island-like, just like those of The Division Bell, especially the "stone" version used for the cover on cassette. Too bad the Équinoxe In...

I have not seen the new Chronology LP for real yet, but from the pictures posted above it looks really nice indeed. I agree with you on the labels of the original Brazilian LP - the design is consistent with the original CD. Did you notice that the Brazilian LP lists 4 tracks per side? Normally it s...

BUT they messed up the bottom of letters "C" of "MICHEL" and "J" of "JARRE" on Chronology. I just noticed it now, but it's not new, I just found out it's on the CD remaster too... I noticed recently that it's actually present in the 1993 South Korean vinyl ed...

It's nice to have the back updated a bit (although I would have prefered the back of the Chronology CD remaster with the 5 people walking, an echo to the cover). The typeface used for the word "REVOLUTIONS" is thinner than the original (that was nicer I think). "CHRONOLOGY" is sl...

FYI - Apparently you may be able to get the LPs in store despite the out-of-stock notice on the Fnac website... I had a contact get the LPs for me at Fnac Lille on March 29. They were still in storage at the time.

Just received my copy of Push Turn Move... Kim Bjørn wasn't kidding when he talked about the care given to his book and the quality... Very nice design and layout, nice photos, thick paper... High quality. Thank you Kanta for the info! Now I just need to find the time to read it - it's not just a pr...

Thank you Oxygene for the info! Now that you mention it I remember watching this interview on YouTube, and yes it had funny passages! Regarding the Amsterdam dates, the official website mentions Heineken Music Hall for Nov 22 and AFAS Live for Nov 23. On Wikipedia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AFAS...

Question on two 2016 dates of the tour

Hi everyone While looking at the Electronica 2016 tour page of the official Jarre site I came across 2 dates that I don't recall seeing listed on the 2016 tour posters 21 October - Dussmann das KulturKaufhaus - Berlin 23 November - AFAS Live - Amsterdam The odd thing is that on the day before those ...
