JMJ said it himself in an interview, and he indeed said it was hard to get it right, but done on the mellotron it gave this special feel/sound... :)

To further back up the Mellotron part not being exact off the real Melly, you can See FR playing this part on the Oxygene Tour (Katowice) Video during Oxygene 7 on his top synth, which is a JV or XP ,not sure exactly but know its a roland

I think the Only part of 07 that contains real mellotron is the third part,Oxygene 12 also uses the Vintage Mellotron sounds from the Vintage board

It's almost sure that he used Mellotron from Vintage card and could change the attack to more agressive. [i dunnow yet, waiting for my SRJV-04 :D ]. btw i've also emulated mellotron on RS70

I have the exact sound in the Roland MVS-1 which is a 1U module of the Vintage Expansion board.
I agree.

And maybe he has layered 2 sources to obtain this sound. Why not a layer with the Raven and the JV90 ... He explained at this period that some synths were used to complete or reinforce some other sounds.

Everything is possible with JMJ and only him knows perfectly his "receipts" :)
it is not the music which is electronic, but the instruments

The response seems to be perfectly quick...

That concert Is the only from the Tour besides Moscow, if you consider that to be a part of it, that I know to exist. Like you say, Rimbert played the lead. The sound could be from his JV-90 but then again, he often play the same as JMJ I don't know if that sometimes has something to do about saving JMJ from big playing mistakes.

Hey Equin(00)xe, have you got any more sounds to share with us? Jarre or non-Jarre doesn't matter. I'm very curious to hear more from the Raven. :)

Both old and new synthesizers with soundexamples. A lot of soundfiles for Quasimidi gear. Check it out. :)

Equin(00)xe,

Did you finish that version of Oxygene 7 with all the parts swung?

I'd love to hear it,
Nino
