These have been out for a while (in small quantities).
Anyone had a chance to play around with one yet???
Nice price for a multimbral Waldorf synth.

I haven't tried it yet, but as a start Im very sceptical about it. Not the sound but the programming process. I have never seen it as an advantage to cut down the amount of knobs. It makes the synth too isolated.

I totally agree with you on that one. But compared to other VA:s with few knobs the Blofeld is dead easy to program. You have a lot of real time control and a good view of what the heck you're doing. So even though I like to have a lot of knobs and sliders on my machines I'm happy with the way they've made the Blofeld.

I had the opportunity to try one a couple of months ago in a music store. I was really impressed by the sound and also the quality of the knobs. No horrible plastic!
IMO it could have cost a bit more without me complaining and I'm pretty picky when it comes to VA.
I think that the Blofeld sound better than most VA:s out there - being beaten only by Creamware's ASB synths and Access Virus. But when comparing the price tags it's not hard to make a choice.

I haven't tried it but I'd very much like to. With its spec and the uber-low price, it must be a good buy!

From some of the vids, demos and blog I have seen, this seems to be a pretty nifty peice of kit for the price.
