Welcome to the new BlahBlahCafe!

A new server, a new environment. Updated and all.

As with every migration, some things might have been lost in translation (at least, that's my experience in software development). The main problem is logging in into the boards. These could be caused by several reasons:

- Your browser cache & cookies need to be cleared because we moved to a new server. If you get the error message whilst logging: "The submitted form was invalid. Try submitting again.", you need to clear your cache & cookies. You can find a "Delete cookies" option at the bottom of this page.

- There is also a chance that your password is not correctly converted to the new system. This is a known bug with migrating the system. The only solution is to request a new password, there's a link on the form that will send an email to you to create a new password. If that fails, I can set a password for you, you can contact us at the "Contact us" link at the bottom of the page.

Nocturne is a really enjoy album, the old tracks sound absolutely terrific! Hearing 1492 played on the piano and harp together is godlike!

I think we can say as a composer, improviser, keyboard player, JMJ is lightyears beyond Vangelis.

In terms of brilliance JMJ is lightyears beyond Vangelis.

Any 5 year old is better on a piano than Jarre, but he makes some great sound design :)

I would argue with the brilliance part.

These piano interpretations hold up ever so well.

As synthesizer artists reach 60s 70s becomes
1. Far Harder to compose a synth album weaving textures sounds diverse synthesis.
2. Far Easier to improvise on one or two instruments as piano strings harp.
3. Far Easier just set a sequence play pads solos fx bits n pieces over the sequence.

Therefore at nearly 70 for JmJ to compose a synthesis album as EquInifinity is quite something.

Those here in our 20s 30s 40s wont understand this.

Thus Remember what I have said for the rest of your Creative Lives : Create NOW whilst you still have Juices Flowing in you.

I've been listening to the Rosetta album more often these days, and it still pisses me off that the audio distortion in "Sunlight" is present in both CD and LP versions, and to my knowledge hasn't been fixed at any point.

To me it really is so damn noticeable and ruins the track quite a lot (especially considering how climactic it's supposed to be). Crikey.

Yeah, that distortion was never fixed. It's on two tracks and I'm surprised that it slipped through honestly.

Alright, got this one recently as well:

Compared to the 2013 remaster, there's definitely less treble going on and the audio sounds very similar (but not identical) to a previous CD version I've got.

NASA released a new video with Vangelis music.

It's not from Vangelis' next album Juno To Jupiter, which will come out in December.

The new LP is much better than the previous remaster, lord knows what they were thinking with the crazy amount of reverb on those.I got that big Delectus set a bunch of years ago, reverb on most of the albums, audio drops on others and parts cut out for some bizarre reason. The overall quality of the new digital files was stunning, but the changes and QA were bizarre. Still waiting for the actual definitive release of these albums on the CD format...

And there's a new Vangelis album coming up!? Yes, finally!

Edit: And I just ordered the Deluxe Edition. I have no idea what's Deluxe about it. But I'm all for it!

So anyone found anything about the Deluxe Edition? Seems it's going to finally be shipped the 29th, but there's still zero info on what the DE exactly entails...

News about this release is amazingly scarce. And there are people who complain about JMJs news output sometimes, this is a whole other level. The album has been delayed several times now and we still don't have info on the releases (other than that it's 1 CD, the vinyl edition is a double LP with gatefold sleeve). (I have ordered the Deluxe edition myself)

Absolutely, it's really strange how so little is known about the album. I grabbed the leak from back in (I think it was) August, but haven't given it a spin yet. But absolutely nothing seems to be up surrounding the album. There's a LE, but no info on what's Deluxe about it, plus it's more expensive than the 2 LP set. This is such a strange release, Nocturn and Rosetta were done amazing. Early promos, making of, singles, that website where you could unlock songs early. Yet this?!
