Welcome to the new BlahBlahCafe!

A new server, a new environment. Updated and all.

As with every migration, some things might have been lost in translation (at least, that's my experience in software development). The main problem is logging in into the boards. These could be caused by several reasons:

- Your browser cache & cookies need to be cleared because we moved to a new server. If you get the error message whilst logging: "The submitted form was invalid. Try submitting again.", you need to clear your cache & cookies. You can find a "Delete cookies" option at the bottom of this page.

- There is also a chance that your password is not correctly converted to the new system. This is a known bug with migrating the system. The only solution is to request a new password, there's a link on the form that will send an email to you to create a new password. If that fails, I can set a password for you, you can contact us at the "Contact us" link at the bottom of the page.

They have used tons of gear... there used to be some gearlist on a brazilian fan-site or something. They did use a lot of custom instruments, but did use a lot of factory produced instruments as well.

but is there not some who know or have an idea of how they made the snardrum sound.
or have an idea for how you can do it with your own equipment?

Wich snardrum? Can't hear no snardrum in the 1978 version.

Band passed filter (perhaps w/ highly resonant)(vowel like) thru ring mod or hi speed lfo? Perhaps tune the oscillators a few octaves apart (16' and 4' or sth like that).
That would be the direction in which I would experiment...

The sound doesn't change over time, so if they used a vocoder, they must have made a tape loop to keep it recurring like that in the song.

How do you mean? The sound is not constant, and it changes in pitch too, following the bass.

yes it change with the number but the source which I do not know is perhaps a sound from a synth you put into the external in
into a minimoog and then in a vocoder maybe it's just guessing I do not know.
but i has written with Karl Bartos in a forum he writes (it's all done with a Minimoog, As far as I remember)
and then I wrote how he made the sound when he plays The Robots now (I'm using a Minimoog and record it into my computer.) As you can see he is a man of few words so it has not helped as much as I haved hoped
but I suppose it's ok to keep gear setups for yourself when you are ex Kraftwerk member
but are there not more people who have an idea for what to use please.
and thanks in advance to all of you :D

I mean the 'color' of the sound. If it was a vocoder, he would have to say the exact same thing into it all the time.

The new albums was supposed to be out in 2010. Will it be released this year? Place your bets now! :punch:

Well, last studio album took 17 years, and so far it's only been 8 years, so there may only be 9 years to go. :punch:
