Magic Fly is a real experience for the listener, and it is a smooth, galactic drift with a touch of Balearic. The sound design and synthesis of this piece is a work of art.
The song was composed in the same apartment as "Oxygene" by Jean Michel Jarre in 1976. Being good mates at the time, Didier took Jarre's apartment and created this masterpiece on a Korg synthesizer, Arp Odyssey, and a Sequential Circuits Prophet 5.
Giorgio Moroder said his disco synth sequences were inspired from JmJ Oxygene5 end sequences.
