The Equinoxe Bass

I finally found a way to play this epic Bass the right way!
Precisely like Jean-Michel Jarre and Michel Geiss did it in 1978 ;)

If you a a Propellerhead user, you can download the ReFille here: Equinoxe Bass ReFill

Ok thanks. But I think it belongs very much in the Instrument category as well, since it is one of the most famous sounds on Equinoxe :)

That's the way i used alos without sequencer but sequencing step by step all the notes.

It's a "down legato" right?

Now i work with pro Tools. Is there any free sequencer looking like Reasons Matrix?

The "pop sound" sequence is done by the same way right?

I have tested Thesys from Sugar Bytes but there is no latch mode.

Thanks for you answers

I used a lot of time to have the sequencer and the synth to behave the right way.
The first time I did it, it should work, but the note was "hanging" on the last note I hit, let's say Bb even if C was pressed. I found a work around with a feature called "Last note" out on a CV and this controls the Oscillator pitch.
These small differences that chances the whole thing, is different from DAW to DAW. So maybe one VST can't while another VST sees it another way and it works.

....I am pretty sure Michel Geiss didn't used a "Last Note" scroll down menu, when he connected his Matrisequencer to Arp 2600

not really a work around, because a good vst should have the ability to let you choose the note priority rules, to match the way some analog synth works .

Your trouble was about these rules :

- last note priority,
- highest note priority
- Lowest note priority

On mono synth , as you said, these small differences could change the whole thing

Fantastic.

Is there any way I could do this through my AKAI ASQ10 hardware sequencer?]
