Anyone seen the JarreUK forums recently?

www.jarreforum.com

They seem pretty dead for official forums...

Well JUK forum has always been like that even on the Older ones,I think the mods beleived it would be buzzing with activity now its supposed to be the Official forum  I always doubted that....anyway whos cares!!!!!!

given that,i think many fans seem to have lost interest after the demise of Jarre.net too man restrictions/Multiple bullshit

I joined but have not posted, mainly cos I'm staying loyal to this one,I don't really see the point in posting on multiple forums of the same subject, most of the topics are overexaggerated across the forums,so its constantly going over the same topics all the time...

I only use JUK for the news items anyhow...

To tell the truth they haven't said that the forum is official. They just said that it's officialy supported by JMJ, but even emphasized that no official forum exists.

:P
And are we able to say an official forum existed one day ?
It'll have an official forum when the link will be on www.jeanmicheljarre.com, so, it never had one, so no official forum, it's as easy as that ! (IMHO)

define official. I mean, I remember one day a fan asked JMJ how to create an official fanwebsite, and JMJ replied "Just do..."... so...

And about this official support, I of course don't know what happened between thems and aero prod, but I think they rather suggested to JarreUK to open a forum rather than ordered them to. I mean something like "why don't you do a forum now that the other is closed.."
It's easy to spot, cause there is an account for Aero Prod, but it was not used yet, and there's also an account for JMJ, but it's easy to tell that this account was not created by JMJ himself, as he would never subtitle himself "godfather"...

An official forum would be the forum where JMJ posts and reads himselve... but I think that's an utopia. JMJ knows all about synths but not that much about the internet.... besides he's a MAC user not a windoze user. And he knows if he ever will be on-line he will be jumped by hundreds of fans...

You don't have to be advanced to use an internet forum, I'm sure he can do it...and much more ;)
LeoDav wrote:besides he's a MAC user not a windoze user.
I'm a MAC user too:)
LeoDav wrote: And he knows if he ever will be on-line he will be jumped by hundreds of fans...
Yeah, that's true.
I think he must be a busy man and there's nothing strange that he prefers to spend time with friends and family than on-line with fans. And probably there would exist something like auto-censorship on a forum where he was a member...just take old Jarre.net...do you imagine posting topics like "How many shirts does JMJ have" and so on on a forum with him as a user? ;)

Although it'd be great to have a short chat one day :D

Reffering to his account on Space Of Freedom - I think an administrator wrote that it was created for him in order he likes to post something one day. Just by couriosity I checked one day - it was created on last day of April and then used last time on 1st May, but I've no idea if he really had quick look or it was somebody from JarreUK team used it.

Jarre did say something about why he didn't visit forums in some webchat few years (about 2 perhaps)... but I still remember old Jarre.net forums where he posted quite a few times.

As I remember he said that he would like fan forum to live it's own life or something like that. (If we think about the same chat and answer ;))

Perhaps, some people understood his words as "I don't care about fans" though :P
