And a cracker of a ending for Tennant as the Doctor.tinmachine wrote:Doctor Who - The End of David Tennant's Stint with James Bond as the big chief Timelord.
Have to agree .... that was one brilliant, if a little weepy, ending for DT as the Tenth Doctor.Jon wrote:And a cracker of a ending for Tennant as the Doctor.tinmachine wrote:Doctor Who - The End of David Tennant's Stint with James Bond as the big chief Timelord.
Some weeks ago, Tennant said he really was going to miss playing the Doctor and was wondering if he was doing the right thing. Yet, tonight, the last thing his charactor of the Doctor says right at the point of regeneration, is "I don't want to go". You could almost mistake that as Tennant saying he will return.littlesister wrote:Have to agree .... that was one brilliant, if a little weepy, ending for DT as the Tenth Doctor.Jon wrote:And a cracker of a ending for Tennant as the Doctor.tinmachine wrote:Doctor Who - The End of David Tennant's Stint with James Bond as the big chief Timelord.
I read a while ago rumours that David Tennant was being considered for a movie spin-off of Doctor Who. Have to say he did very well as the Doctor (I initially had reservations when he appeared at the end of the 1st series), but he had some fantastic episodes, and the one last night was superb, a great and emotional send-off.Jon wrote:Some weeks ago, Tennant said he really was going to miss playing the Doctor and was wondering if he was doing the right thing. Matt Smith really does have his work cut out in the role of the new Doctor. It can only go two ways for Matt, good or bad reviews. But he's going to be compared to Tennant and for the wrong reason "oh, he's not David Tennant", even if he try's to make the Doctor his own, he is always going to be wrongly compared. Matt reminds me of Daniel Craig. Craig was critisied for the Bond role due to his "gruff" looks. Matt is the same. But Craig has now fitted in and made the 007 role his own. Lets hope that Matt can do the same with the Doctor. But he's going to get a rough ride from fans and critics just because he is not Tennant.tinmachine wrote:I read a while ago rumours that David Tennant was being considered for a movie spin-off of Doctor Who. Not sure about the new guy, Matt Smith, although the online trailers for the next series look quite promising. Would also like to see Timothy Dalton and John Simm return again in their roles.

I have the "the signature edition" on DVD and I can only agree.mathetes1963 wrote:Last installment of From The Earth To The Moon. Getting a Blu-Ray player, just for the set of this when it comes out on BR. Hafta get an HDTV too though...
