I have this album on repeat play. I cannot get enough of it. I have not done that with a Jarre album for many years (as a new release).
Jarre concerts attended - Destination Docklands 1988 - Paris La Defense 1990 - Europe In Concert 1993 (Manchester & London) - Oxygene Tour 1997 (Birmingham)

"A group of men and woman entered the laboratory one month ago to live in a smell free world. Body odour, sweaty arms pits and smelly feet are to create the energy to survive. A total mystery surrounds this experiment, and it's project code name: B.O and Smell'i "

Thanks Shadow. I was just wondering if there was any discernible difference listening on speakers. I've just checked myself - can't hear any effect on speakers, but the stereo image is definitely wider on headphones ...

Ok, so the album has 16 tracks. Pick 3.2 tracks (which is 20%) and you have a smaller, but 100% "REAL Jarre album".

I'm still struggling with orders of this album.
MyDisc didn't work with my Visa card.
Amazon.co.uk didn't work with my Visa card.
Now I'm trying to order CD + Vinyls invoice with the Swedish CDON.se.
Wtf??! :?

Well, I ordered my copy in a "retrospective" way : personally ordered it at the local music store. :)

They couldn't deliver mine by today, but hopefully next week!

 That is soo "old fashion". But still a very charming way of doing album businesses. :)

The fingerprints are different with each box. I've got M83, Moby and Carpenter.

After all the years waiting, all the hype, I can honestly say this will be the last Jarre album I'll ever buy.
Even if the next one is much better than this? Come on, that doesn't make sense :)

Random thoughts:
* In the vinyl version, Immortals has an intro track (well, segue from the earlier track) with some machinery sounds, reminiscent of the receipt machines in Chronologie 8. Intentional musical reference, maybe?
* Anyone else reminded of Depeche Mode (Enjoy The Silence in particular) by the guitar work in Close Your Eyes?

it's from the continuous mix, which you can also hear on the USB stick.

Well we know that: If and Rely on Me (in terms of music) are on Jarre (and perhaps Garraud). I believe that The Train and the River is also mostly on Jarre minus the piano. But the rest is a very interesting mix. We now that all the other composers received a piece of music from Jarre and from there on they started working. But I hoped they added the original Jarre demos, that would have been awesome to see how the project evolved.
