I just read the article from the Keyboard magazine, it also said it was used as a master keyboard.
Hmm now I can only start guessing, but what about the Minimoog? (I will forget all the forbidden livestuff talk now) It was with him at Akropolis just above the K2000, it was behind the K2k during the Oxygene tour (I know it was said to be used for filtering drums), it was next to the K2k in the studio picture, it was "used" for the lead in Egypt. At last, I have never heard about what he really used it for on the Oxygene 7-13 album.
But as I said, I can only guess. I can't judge whether the lead sounds to be from a polyphonic synth. I could get a sound close to from the MinimoogV even using monophonic mode.

AFAIK the Oxygene 10 lead is off a Roland JV/XP series. A brass patch with some lowpass filtering applied to it.

If that's true, it will answer a question I have asked for a few years now. The JV/XP has been said to be the soundsource for that lead before, but I had no clue about it.

I also wonder what he used for the sequence between the lead.

It was only used live, I think. It's tune is said to be unreliable. At least, on JMJ's, not in general. Although I don't think they'd stay in tune that perfectly in general either...

It provided the lead on Oxygene 8(At least during the tour)theres a few audios of various concerts where you can hear Jarre clearly tuning it whilst playing the introduction of the song(most notably on the Budapest concert)

Theres a book called "Live and Kicking" which was about various Concert tours(U2 and Paul McCartney and I think the Rolling stone are in there too) its kind of like the behind the scenes stuff and technical info, one section was about the Oxygene tour(I wish i had of bought this book now)it mentioned about having to switch Jarres analogs on at least a good 2 hours or so before the concerts so they were warmed up for the actual show, and due to the tight schedule of shows they had to rehearse right up until the doors opened prior to the shows,I'm gonna see if i can still order this book from the Bookshop,(theres a couple of Pics of it too in the book)

I have a ton of gear and need another board like a hole in the head but I have a chance to get a Raven at a cheap price. Is it worth it for about $300 to $350 bucks. I pretty much stick with ambient soundscapes these days. Lots of soundtrack type stuff. Occasional track with a faster beat. I've heard it's similar to an MC-505. Is this true?

ANGST! I have suffered for that two years ago and it is pretty creapy as it feels like you are falling asleep in an unnormal way. The only thing I can say is that you are not dying, but it a physic reaction coming from something which can be almost unknown to you.
I know about it, as I've suffered from different kind of fears and depressions through my entire life. I read it's common among creative people/artists. :fine: :P

But thanks for your response! :D
