A similar revisitation of Equinoxe could be nice, but since there was no Equinoxe 9-15 last decade, I suppose the chances aren't really that great. :P

In fact, I've noted that Equinoxe has been slowly phased out from his concerts... Equinoxe 5 disappeared in 1990, Equinoxe 7 hasn't been heard in 5 years, Equinoxe 4 was cut from SoF DVD... and neither E4 or Band in the Rain were performed at Merzouga. :P

I'd wish he'll play Equinoxe 4 from his live performance in Marigny, just to please us. But that's mainly useless expectations.

Think I will resist temptation and wait until Dec 3rd for the set so I can enjoy both the audio and visual extravaganza - Christmas will come early.
Jarre concerts attended - Destination Docklands 1988 - Paris La Defense 1990 - Europe In Concert 1993 (Manchester & London) - Oxygene Tour 1997 (Birmingham)

Any theories why?

He has a degree in music from Berklee University (if I remember well) - and thus studied in America. He's a native french though.

Why was he the one writing down the score of the original, note for note, and not Jarre himself? :nico:

Because Jarre was too busy with "the old ladies"?? :mrgreen:

Jarre might have done some of the other preparations, but we have also seen before that Claude was hired to instruct the symphoni orchestras and choirs. Back in time it was Sylvain Durand who did all this and he did also write some of the scorebooks that was used for commercial selling. I actually don't know excatly what the link is between those jobs Claude and Sylvain did except that they are probably both pretty good at all this with scores.

<OFF TOPIC>

Question: Is Samard the guy on stage with the old-timey pump organ in the SoF concert? Looks sorta like him...

<ON TOPIC>
I checked with a local Barnes & Nobles while doing some holiday shopping, and they'd never heard of it, and didn't show as forthcoming. :sad: *weeping and gnashing of teeth*

My wife merchandises DVD's for a local Best Buy, I'll have her keep an eyeball out for it, but at the moment it appears unavailable in the States apart from online. :roll:
