After seeing them play live, Brian Eno once said of Duran Duran: "There is something thrilling about watching a band at the working at the limits of their abilities”.

The band thought this a brilliant endorsement. They’d never considered themselves particularly talented and made no claim to be virtuoso performers, but they knew the sound they wanted and they worked hard to get it.

I love that Eno quote, that a band playing right at the edge of what’s possible for them offers a greater audience experience than watching a musical genius just coast along.

Can't find anything on the Arte website to confirm this though

Absolutely. Bernard Sumner of New Order can get flack for his singing abilities, but New Order wouldn't be New Order if they didn't use that particular voice. I'm sure Blue Monday wouldn't have been as good as it is if the strange, otherworldly vocals of Sumner weren't there.

Where did you see that? I've only seen 15th everywhere.

It was the Rendezvous JMJ group, Lee's now crossed out the 8th and put 15th

Oh well, I guess it wouldn't be a true Jarre release if it wasn't delayed or didn't have quality issues :>

So 8th Dec for access via the ARTE YouTube channel and 15th December for the ARTE broadcast and/or streaming service?
