Or contract signed for remasters only?

IF so....I don't mind anyway, he can freely and independently release music.
I agree ! And I hope it is. It is known that record companies try to squeeze their artists like lemons. Especially Sony has a bad reputation

Sony Music Entertainment is not in Berlin. They are in München. In Berlin Sony manages the classical music range......maybe JMJ is classic now !?
You hear some right horror stories about Sony and how they treat artists who try and leave their contracts. Look at some artists who got sued by Sony for terminating their contracts early. If Jarre was assigned to a contract and finished it, now doubtly he would have been sued by Sony unless they terminated it. That depends on the story of Sony and Jarre seperating of course.
Jarre concerts attended - Destination Docklands 1988 - Paris La Defense 1990 - Europe In Concert 1993 (Manchester & London) - Oxygene Tour 1997 (Birmingham)

"A group of men and woman entered the laboratory one month ago to live in a smell free world. Body odour, sweaty arms pits and smelly feet are to create the energy to survive. A total mystery surrounds this experiment, and it's project code name: B.O and Smell'i "

I never knew that Jean Michel Jarre is owned by Sony? Is he really??
As an ordinary arts consumer I don't care if he releases his music through Dreyfus, Warners, Sony, EMI, Virgins, Laurel & Hardy...
All I care about is that he is well and actually is working on a new album or albums and which in some fashion or the other is going to be released before the man himself is dead.

no a single music magazine which would mention his new album as seen on the horizon.
Consequence of Sound interestingly also left him from their "most antivipated albums of 2015. but, e.g., giorgio moroder is mentioned. And a plenty of noname acts.....or noname only for me.....

this may or may not also shows how minor jmj has got.

the music world still no aware of his comeback?

Well thanks Robi for the info even if it doesn't makes the slightest sense to me.
"It's not ok remastering with a bunch of loudness although it was jmj's choice and the correct compromising to do because the tracks are going to be played in playlists with other all sorts of music and "some people" likes it that way and after all fans has always got a choice as the older remasters are still available." Uhm soo...where are the good news? :P

''the good news soon'' may have to wait about a month, while Paris and France recovers from the recent terrorist shootings...and as a mark of respect

I myself don't think the recent events have that much affect on studio works.

yes, I do not think the shootings will affect work within the studio, but if an album was due to be released in the next week or two, I think the events could delay the promotion and launch of that album

hopefully though, there will be no clash..

Respecting terrorists? No way. This is all about freedom of speech. That's why I think they now should release the album even sooner then later. :fine:
Although sadly Jean Michel's work at CISAC might take some focus off the album.

We must stand our ground if possible and not let the terrorists dictate what we want to do and that includes Jean-Michel! Jean-Michel can do CISAC and the album/s, if he chooses to do so.

OK maybe I didn't. Still there are several ways to respect and honour people who has been murdered only because of their expression.

how about the public "voice" in France?
A new Jarre album is awaited?
is there any "underground forum-like discussion " , one of the French electronic name releases a new album?
