Crowne Plaza Hotel,right on the Royal Vic docks.(Western way)You wouldn't recognise that Dock now,to 20 years ago,Plush apartments Excel centre Housing etc,theres only one silo still standing from the original Backdrop of Jarre's concert.
I was down there 2 weeks ago in the crowne Plaza for a business Meeting wish I had taken my camera to take some Pics of the area.

Bit out of the way for a fan meeting though,given the concert venue,surely there's some decent pubs/Cafes on Kensington High st

A Jarrefan posted some pics of the area some time ago. It seemed that many of the signature cranes are still there, and so was one of the buildings used for the Docklands concert.

Yes the cranes are still there and one Silo,which is the one that Jarre used Flares inside to light it up.the one which was directly behind the stage,Its perhaps a listed Building,as it would have either been converted to housing or pulled down seeing as everything else has been demolished to make way for Building developments.

Next time I am down there I'll take my camera with me

A meeting in a cafe/pub would be nice!

Dirty Dicks is still in Bishopsgate (at least it was in 2007) and it's still a great pub but it's er... quite far... from the Albert Hall - I'd guess about five miles away!

It's good for Liverpool Street station but that's about it!

@Kanta: I'm afraid I don't know any of those pubs you listed but Kensington High Street has lots of nice looking bars and restaurants... I went to an Italian place there at Chrismtas and had a lovely time - too small for a meet though!

My Brother-in-law is coming with me to the gig - he's a bit of a bedroom DJ and is a closet JMJ fan. He's just taken a management job at the 5 star Berkeley Hotel, just down the road from the Albert Hall...

For anyone looking for Arena seats the RAH website has 3 in row 17 and 7 in row 18. Be quick they won't be there long.

Yeah, it's the Millenium Mills, a heritage building. The whole site has been transformed into a kind of heritage spot with the Excel conference centre, trnedy waterside apartments, a floating casino and the works. There's a heritage museum there and Jarre isn't mentioned once, yet he was the one who kick started the whole regeneration thing!

It's a long way from the Albert Hall but a good spot for a fan meeting during the day (a bit like fans going to La Defence the day of the CPLT show in 1995)...

Is anyone going to be wearing the Oxygene t-shirt (black with the skull) that was available to buy at the Théâtre Marigny? I am thinkin of wearing mine.
