The fortunes of some of Britain's top pop stars have been badly hit by the economic downturn, it has been revealed.
Sir Elton John, Sir Tom Jones and Robbie Williams are among the worst hit - losing around a quarter of their personal wealth over the past year, according to the Sunday Times Rich List.
Sir Elton's fortune has been slashed by 26%, from £238m to £175m, while Former Take That star Williams has lost £25m, to be left with £80m.
Sir Tom's fortune now stands at £130m - down 24% after falls in the value of his properties and investments.
Falling property and share values have also wiped £60m off Sir Paul McCartney's wealth - a drop of 12%. He is now worth £440m.
Ian Coxon, who edited the list, said stars who relied on investments for their wealth had been the hardest hit.
"Robbie Williams is run as a business, and there has been a profit fall in 2007, so that's had a knock-on effect, and he's not been doing so much recently," he said.
However, it seems those involved in TV talent shows are bucking the trend with the continued success of The X-Factor helping to boost Simon Cowell's fortune by £8m to £120m - an increase of 7%.
TV talent shows have also helped Lord Lloyd-Webber climb 49 places to become Britain's 52nd richest person despite the value of his wealth remaining at £750m.
Also featuring in the Music Top 50 is Mamma Mia! producer Judy Craymer.
Her wealth rose by 29% to £75m in the last 12 months on the back of the huge success of the film starring Meryl Streep and the worldwide interest in the Abba musical.
In the world of sport, Formula One driver Jenson Button is in pole position.
The winner of the season's first two Grand Prix is worth £40m and tops the table for richest sportsmen aged 30 and under.
And last year's F1 champion Lewis Hamilton has boosted his wealth by a massive 67% to £25m.
