Shame about the fades, haven't received my record yet (not even shipped). Haven't listened to the album with headphones yet, so can't judge. But taking all your words for it, shame if they messed that up.

You just gave me the push to send them a message. Just did it.

Has anyone else have the following issue with the vinyl. After the first few tracks there is a background hum that slowly throbs like a very slow warbling. The only way I can describe it is it's like the sound effect you would hear on a sci-fi show. A little bit like what you hear (if you listen very carefully) at the very end of Magnetic Fields Part 4 (after the hiss of the doors closing). Weird - and VERY annoying, despite it being buried under each track once they start.

I've listened to it twice now, but can't say I have noticed.
I'll have another listen later, roughly after which track does it start ?

Between 'Take Me To Your Leader' and 'Deserted Palace'. It's very subtle, but once you hear it. you can't unhear it. Hopefully it's just my copy of the vinyl has it.

I don't own the vinyl but my Bandcamp MP3 files have the same issues as described in this thread, both Free Floating Anxiety and Bee Factory

As I said on Facebook it's not there on my copy, just had another listen to be sure, and heard the clip you posted on there and it's very noticeable.
It does sound like you may have a defective copy

Due to phenomenal demand in few days,

The LP is stated as "sold out" on their website, but I can try to order it at platomania.nl, who say they have it in stock... Should I? (I already have a copy)

I think it's too risky because It has been proposed on many sites, and copies may still have been available with the same worries.

For my part, the Bandcamp publisher doesn't want to take back my copy, which I ultimately consider defective, even if the overall restoration work is excellent, it's all the more unfortunate.
