What I think is that the original master tapes for this album are no longer available, and that they probably had to rely on a vinyl-sourced copy to carry out the restoration and remastering. I suspect this because, for the 2023 reissue of Les Granges Brûlées, Transversales explicitly stated “Remastered From the Original Master Tapes,” whereas for Deserted Palace they only wrote “Audio Restored & Remastered.” That difference in wording strongly suggests they worked from a different and likely inferior source.
