Anyone with an Ounce of True spirituality would never make such a referal as the pope did.

Interestingly NO Christian saint has ever said anything negative about Islam or anyother faith,
directly or indirectly,
in fact quite the opposite.

Maybe Cluster Bombs ... a million or so right in Vatican city
(as the Israelis so kindly did to Lebanon civilian areas these weeks

or Depleted Uranium missliles (bunker busters) that the US govt loves to use in Iraq.


Wonder what Pope Ratzi thinks of Uncle Joseph Stalin or Papa Mussolini
or Father Hitler : all of them 'beacons' of Christianity.

Or even those wonderful 'upholders' of Christian truth ... Bush and his poodle Blair.

I so wish there really were these things in the mainstream literature you mention... people rushed to blame Israel, or to defend Israel, but I ask you... did any of them even knew why?

I've been to Beirut several times... and Israel.
I know the culture, I know if all know there will be no more fear, and it works both ways.

And I assure you that people in the West don't have a clue on what was going on there - as you so proudly proove. You were only shown what Lebanon wanted you to see - I work with many reporters who were there, and in Israel.

That's why I don't like people to TALK, I don't like people to take sides, I don't like people to judge WITHOUT having the whole the information which I DON'T have and I'm quite sure that they even have less than that - we may have opinions, but we certainly may not throw rocks.

What the Pope said, was not ment to be missinterpreted as it was - but it was - guess why? And if another "leader" says something about Christianity, and those react the same way, who will win in the end? The truth? Or the stronger?

The west is kind, but some people should stop mistaking kindness for weakness. Once one dares to push the button, all hell will break loose.

Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe. A Einstein.

The issue of Israel, Lebanon, Middle East, Palestine has been seen from many angles,
for those willing to do the research.

A better understanding about how the current conflict in Lebanon arose
is available for anyone to find out, if they so wish.

Thus a much more balanced approach can be arrived at than the one put forward in your blog.

of the last 3 centuries, and even from the 11th century
will undersatnd this.

One must also dinstinguish between the West (the people, generally kind just like people everywhere),
Western Governemnt foreign policy actions,
Western Big business action in foreign countries .....
instead of just lumping them together.
