Yes, I was really near the stage. The last time, at Aero, I was very far from the stage. This time I wanted to try to get close :D

Yes Walesa did pronounce a speech of some kind in polish.
Regarding the Aerology remix, I think there might have been a real guitar. A recording of JMJ performing the track with Neimo (I think) shows a guitar player.
