She could've sold them on eBay and still make a lot of profit.

GeeJee...I thought the exact same thing. Even if you only got 5 bucks and charged a little extra for shipping, it would still be better than destroying them.

There is always a buyer to be found on eBay, no matter what it is.

Destroying these beautiful books is a real shame...

At the very least they should have done an auction for charity, that way it's not even about makin' money, but doing good for a greater cause.

It seems as if someone would destroy these books out of spite or anger...as I don't see why anyone would do it. Not being able to sell them is a poor excuse.

Sometimes people do weird things, this looks to be one of them. Nothing to do about it.

However, one of these books could have been fun to own.

I think the term for this is pulping.

Maybe the distribution company went bust and due to the large amount of un-sold books, as this can sometimes lead to pulping.

Cool. I think they make diapers out of pulp. So it's for a good cause

But is it necessary to publish pics of that on a fansite?

Well you can't be informed about everything, also if this book was available on jarre.net most fans have had one of the best opportunities to buy it. I think it was one of the first pages if you search for Jean Michel Jarre on google. So what I am saying is that people have got the change to buy a copy.
