JMJ should have a house in England. He will be safe here.

Quoting from The Daily Telegraph of June 11, 1997:

"Jarre and Rampling were a dream match. Now it is over. [...] Rampling also stipulated she should keep the house in Croissy. Men across Europe are perparing to form in an orderly queue."

So this would indicate that Charlotte took the house after the divorce and JMJ already moved out of the Croissy mansion in 1997.
In the same article, it is stated that Charlotte filed for a divorce after JMJ had an affair with the then 31-year old Odile Froment (Jarre was 49 at that time), I guess it was huge in the tabloids in 1997...

It makes me wonder if Jarre is happy - he seemed happy during his 'golden years' through the late 70's and 80's when he was in my opinion , his most creative and settled with his wife and home.

I feel he lost his way after Waiting For Cousteau musicaly, and everything since Oxygene 7-13 has sounded like a half-hearted attempt to be trendy which I hate. He was THE MAN when he had his wavy mullett and exotic gadgets, his extraordinary concerts and individualistic styling. Now I see an ageing legend trying to act half his age and fit in with a more youthful, musical scene.

I would have liked to have thought he would have grown old happy in that splendid, classy mansion surrounded by those glorious mystical instruments, perfecty preserved in the room that gave birth to intelligent creations like Equinoxe and Rendez-vous.

Happier in the 70's and 80's? I think that's bollocks. Well it's difficult to judge on the few recordings from the time. I don't think he looks happier then, compared to the 90's and now.
Btw. Metamorphoses was recorded in the old Croissy studio, so he cannot have moved when him and Charlotte got divorced.

I do forgive him but they made such a lovely couple. And I forgive myself too for thinking he is a naughty man. :punch:
