"Artistic collaboration : Jean-Michel Derain"

Uh-oh....

Once again, JMJ is unable to make his own music by himself. I shouldn't act surprised though.

I'm GONE...

Jean-Michel Derain is a french DJ, the same guy that created a remix song before the Bercy Paris (2010 Tour).

2013?

Why am I not suprised. Its like a bad film on repeat.

I have been a fan and follower of JMJ since 1978. Over the past few years I have never been so bored and agitated with an artist as I am with Jarre. Think its time I moved onto pastures new.

. . . and I'm not the only one as evident from the quietness around here and other boards.
Jarre concerts attended - Destination Docklands 1988 - Paris La Defense 1990 - Europe In Concert 1993 (Manchester & London) - Oxygene Tour 1997 (Birmingham)

Do you have to be so negative about in this way?

This is music DJ's are doing based on Oxygene - this is not a JMJ concert

such unnecessary attitude...jeeezz

patience people! and have faith!

I get the impression just because JMJ doesn give us an album every 3 years then a few fans ''threaten'' to move to pastures new..[what does that mean - moving country and selling your house?]

well hello!! good luck - there is no artist like JMJ.

this is more of an annoucement on the albums than any news recently

I'm very excited about this! two albums! hooray :) never been so happier lol

By a digital release then it sounds he will not sign to a major music label

bring on 2013. cannot wait :P

Yes, I was there. Nothing really new apart from an album that would be similar to Zoolook. Maybe, DVD concert, maybe future concerts, nothing on Perth etc. I had a French Jean Michel fan friend to help me with my French. I am sorry I did not go as a fan for news but just to be by him. But I would have just have gone for the "GONE." Installation That is new news.

I guess you have not been keeping tabs on things of late? If you had, you would know it has NOTHING to do with expectations or the hopes of albums every 3 years.

As for "threaten", far from it. But who is leaving who here? The fan leaving the artist or the artist leaving the fan. I go with the latter.

There are people here who seem to be personally offended, because their target (can`t call it a star / fans ralationship) produces not enough new albums. They confusing the job of an artist with of a doctor, or person in the office, who (for example) must edit bills

An artist produced only if his personality or life situation make it possible ! If his current life situation blocked his creative inspiration, then so be it, and not the malice of the artist.

Each artist (Everyone!) is inspired by anything, anyone subject to a development or experience. Even such large multimedia artists like Peter Gabriel (now on tour with the Philharmonic Orcherster). Jean Michel told a few times, that he got his inspiration by the women, with he has a relationship. This is nothing unusual. If he currently has no inspiring lady, no one can accuse that. This is life, and not a malice by Jean Michel. :(

Maybe some don`t write of their CD's who participates in the production of everything (but some even mention the flowers along the way from which they were inspired)
A real musical maverick is rare. I can think of none.

I hope for Jean Michel that he did not produce anything which is not really "his" only just to satisfy the impatient, insensitive fans.

If you are boring by JMJ, please look to other artist`s , which don`t have a creative break momentarily. When Jean Michel has something new, you get back. :)
