So for the moment I have uploaded 2 Zip files which correspond to the side A from Laser Disc.

The difference with the original is more clarity and increased volume.
Thank you for leaving feedback... The rest will hopefully arrive tomorrow.

Yes indeed... at the time I shared it wasn't private.
The Youtube channel seems to be very active at the moment. The link has been updated.
it should work this time :

Hi!

I'm the one who makes those "remasters". Tahnk you so much for your comment

I listened that audio you made from LaserDisc and definitely sounds better that mine.

I think I have to reupload that video with this new audio!!! :muahaha:

Hi,

Really great job on all the remasters, even the audio.
I don't know what software you use to clean the video, but it's a pleasure to discover or rewatch all these performances with this level of quality.

For the audio that I shared, thank you for the feedback... however it is edited and cut so difficult to synchronize with the full video :)

Another MASSIVE thank you to nexxxus for sharing the audio from this epic 1995 concert. I've listened to it a lot recently and my highlights are:

- the way Chrono 6 kicks in after the opening countdown, really spine tingling
- perhaps the best live performance of Oxygene Pt. 4 - it has a real pop music vibe, an extended final chorus, and that abrupt finish - it is ace!
- that opening bassline on Equinoxe 7, and from the video, knowing that it's a solo JMJ performance on an anonymous synth

:D It was all so very, very French:

- Jean-Michel Jarre, wearing a beret and a stripey top, under the Eiffel Tower, playing an accordion. Show me something more French that that? Bet you can’t!

Glco8284 brought to my attention that the Concert for Tolerance NRK TV broadcast and the laserdisk have different shots for some of the songs. The NRK broadcast is missing the first three songs though. I do have a VHS with an (incomplete) TF1 broadcast (incomplete, because the last 3 tracks were missing, my recording reached the end of the tape, long story). So I digitized the TF1 VHS and combined this and the NRK broadcast to have a complete TV broadcast as "b-roll" to the laserdisk "a-roll".

Some tracks are completely the same on both versions, but there's some interesting differences throughout the concert edits.

Some important things that occured to me comparing both the recordings: the laserdisk is not a complete recording! I noticed that at some point, both the video streams were out of sync. Turns out that that happened when you had to turn over the laserdisk from side A to side B :-D The TV broadcast continues where the laserdisk has a fade out and a fade in. Second thing that was cut was 20 seconds before Band in the Rain. There's only audience shots.

The TV broadcast doesn't have the speech at the end which is on the laserdisk. I couldn't check if the TF1 broadcast has it, since my recording stopped before this moment.

Anyway, here's a list of differences:

The intro:
Obviously different. The TV broadcast is made for TF1, the laserdisk starts with a still of the planes, zooming out.

Chronologie 6:

Overall, some more total shots and less shots on the musicians. There's a cool shot of Guy Delacroix with the Eiffel tower and fireworks in the background that is lost on the LD, but the LD has a better shot of the fireworks.

Revolutions
The same.

Chronologie 3
Added total shots of the Eiffel tower. TV edit has longer shots.

Equinoxe 7
Almost the same, except for a longer shot on Dominique Perrier.
Screenshot from 2024-08-17 14-14-31.png
Souvenir of China
The same

Chronologie 4
The same

Magnetic Fields 1
Not much difference, except more Francis Rimbert in the TV edit
Screenshot from 2024-08-17 14-26-13.png
Screenshot from 2024-08-17 14-26-25.png
Ethnicolor
Not much difference either, except for the start of the second part of the song, where JMJ is playing the sample-thingy.
Screenshot from 2024-08-17 14-29-05.png
Vivaldi tribute
The same

Industrial Revolutions
Not much difference here, three different takes
Screenshot from 2024-08-17 14-31-16.png
Screenshot from 2024-08-17 14-32-15.png
Screenshot from 2024-08-17 14-32-17.png
Then there's a 20 second shot of audience and stage, which is cut from the LD
vlcsnap-2024-08-17-14h32m46s077.png
Band in the Rain:
An obvious change: the LD cuts to a total when the paper falls out of the barrel organ (while the music is still playing).
Screenshot from 2024-08-17 14-33-16.png
Oxygene 4
The TV broadcast has a long zoom-out shot which is replaced by a total of the Eiffel tower cutting to a close of JMJ
Screenshot from 2024-08-17 14-39-03.png
Screenshot from 2024-08-17 14-39-11.png
Digisequencer
Almost no change, except for the end which shows the stage, whereas the LD shows the Eiffel tower (note that I now switched to the NRK broadcast)
Screenshot from 2024-08-17 14-41-34.png
Eldorado
First few bars of the song (a drum-loop) are cut from the TV broadcast. LD has a total of the audience.
vlcsnap-2024-08-17-14h43m28s582.png
Calypso
No changes

Then JMJ's full speech is on the LD, the TV broadcast has this cut.
vlcsnap-2024-08-17-14h45m35s807.png
Rendez-Vous 4
The same

And the end titles are obviously different. Interesting detail: the TV broadcast was credited as "A Mike Mansfield production for Channel 4", so Channel 4 probably has some rights on this...
