As a Gorillaz track, I very much appreciate it for the act continuing to do what they're best at, and it's certainly a catchy tune.
However, as I have expected (based off of what I've heard of Electronica), the JMJ involvement seems to be pretty minimal here. It just seems more like he's merely a producer for the track, which is probably what it was gonna be in the first place.
However, it's nice to see him in a bigger project like this. All it does is further push his name out there, so it's never a bad thing really.

The videos posted on instagram that Kanta shared with us clearly show JMJ playing on a track for the album, so unless his contribution was removed or buried deep in the final mixes it seems JMJ's collaboration had at least some artistic element to it ...
Well done @gorillaz for great new album and proud to be part of it #GORLLAZ #HUMANZ

Damon Albarn teams up with Noel Gallagher at Gorillaz comeback show
He did not disappoint fans, and a thunderous set which started with a full rundown of the new record later featured turns from Danny Brown, De La Soul and Jean-Michel Jarre.

Whatever JMJ plays in those posts (and the live solo as well) are very much missing in the final studio version. I'll admit that I am hearing more stuff in the background that could be him, but nothing to the extent of what was linked. The only way this could be the case is if it's the radio edit, but it is the full track from my understanding.
It's entirely possible that it could show up on some other track, but seeing how its paired up with that song in the live performance, its not likely.
Edit: I also find it interesting that the BBC link now no longer mentions JMJ, which makes me now think it was meant for another track later on.

Noel looks a bit bemused having his photo taken with JMJ. I remember years back an interviewer asked him how the new Oasis album was going to sound. Grumpy Noel replied "Well we are a rock band so it's not going to sound like Jean-Michel Jarre is it?"
