It sounds much "deeper", "fatter" than the radio broadcast.

Brutalism is one of the titles recently added to the Sacem database. Others were:
AIRWAVES
ANIMAL GENESYS
B TONIC MELODIC
BRUTALISM
CATACLYSM
CINEMA
DARK DAY
EPICA
EROTICA GLITCH 2
HOP INSIDE
LAURYLEAD
LAZY SLOW
LIFE
MOOG SYMPHONY
MOTHER
MOZAIC VOICE
NORGAN

Amongst others.

Brutalism, a genre of electronic music that started mid '70s and which Iannis Xenakis is known for. Plate of Chips mentioned Brutalist Music as part of his electronic music research: https://www.zoolook.nl/forum/viewtopic. ... 30#p209730

It's also a form of architecture, a style that emerged during the 1950s with an emphasis on materials, textures and construction, producing highly expressive forms.

An interesting tidbit about the music for this album (I posted the full article here:)

viewtopic.php?p=210063#p210063
The sound materials dovetailed beautifully with the new composition of Jean-Michel Jarre as Hervé Déjardin, who spatialised and mixed the sound, explains. “We first started speaking about this project back in September 2021. He started to compose quickly and in six weeks he had 11 tracks - 55 minutes of music. We had a lot of exchange of info along the way and discussed many ways to experiment in space.”

So "Brutalism" appears to be the penultimate track (movement 9 per the new naming, movement 10 per old)

Track titles:

Agora
Oxymore
Neon Lips
Sonic Land
Animal Genesis
Synthy Sisters
Sex In The Machine
Zeitgeist
Crystal Garden
Brutalism
Epica

I think I prefer just plain numbers, they leave more to the imagination.

Agree. One of the things that first intrigued me and appealed to me about JMJ and his approach to music was his track titles.... 1, 2, 3 etc.

And is this his first ever studio album without a Part 1 and a Part 2? Aside from the 'classics' that have no individual track titles, Zoolook had Ethnicolor 1 and 2, Teo and Tea had a Partners In Crime 1 and 2, Geometry of Love 1 and 2 and Electronica had Automatic 1 and 2.

Is this the first album without any 'parts' ???

Yeah, I totally agree. It also makes it more mysterious.
I refer to the tracks on Equinoxe Infinity with their movement numbers, not their subtitle.

Adding to this thread but not about Oxymore.... do you think the titles recently added to Sacem database may be part of the rights sales to BMG? It is known that Jean-Michel Jarre has sold the rights to his published works but has he also bundled into that sale various demos and unreleased works that are now finding their way onto Sacem with "holding titles" until such time BMG decide what to do with them?
