A pioneer wouldn't let his/her music to be ruined.

I honestly doubt Jarre (and most artists honestly) gives a single fuck about what his music sounds like anymore.
We got screwed up remaster after screwed up remaster and we not even once got an explanation or even an apology about the state of the releases.
And I'm not even talking about the general quality of the remaster, I mean genuine issues with for example Rendez-Vous having a messed up tape (instead of the master tape why?) or the audio collapse of the Oxygene 7-13 remaster.

It seems obvious that other imperatives drive musical production.
But regarding OXYMOREWORKS I am not unpleasantly surprised by the CD edition. The tracks are identical to those broadcast one by one in streaming (Tidal for me) before the physical release of the album. On the other hand, the digital album on Tidal is truncated in amplitude (cut peak)... not the case for the singles. The CD is therefore a plus for me.

On the other hand, in terms of packaging, the front is on the back and vice versa. Do you think this is intended?

Yeah, the Oxymore CD was the same in that regard. It seems intentional.

It indeed is intentional. The idea was the same as with Electronica: Putting both covers together, to make one out of it. But the booklet for Oxymore finally became too thick... You still can try, but it might be damaged...

Paper inner sleeve, mine's already damaged and I just removed the shrinkwrap.

So there's a 'remastered' version of the digital release out there which greatly boosts the DR values of the album.
I haven't listened to it yet, but figured others might be interested in checking it out.

Just checked: Amazon Music's audio is still the same as a few months ago. Going to check Apple now. [edit] Checked only the first track, it's still DR4.

Yeah it's not an official release, hence the quotation marks and the use of 'out there'. Not going to share it in a public post for obvious reasons, but if you search you'll probably find it. Still haven't had the chance to listen to it due to working did long days on end, but might get around to it tonight.

If anyone still wants the LP, at Bol.com (Dutch site) it's barely a tenner.
