If I remember my "initial jarre.net memories from 2003" correctly, I think JMJ had approached Kraftwerk over a collaboration around that time, but they had no interest in it. And there was some mulling over a Vangelis collab for the Akropolis concert in 2001.

Whatever the case was for him not wanting to work with Oldfield and Vangelis for Electronica, he didn't. He had countless artists for collaborations on his list before them when he did the first two Electronica albums.
Maybe he was just annoyed that he was connected to these two specifically for no apparent reason by fans.

Why would they be interested? You can't enter that bubble of space and time that they stopped in 1977. That bubble will stay in 1977 for the rest of their lives. Jimmy Carter is still the president of the U.S. in their studio.

The delivery date has now shifted to "12-22 May 2025" (was a week earlier, at least for my country) and the price is now €18.53 (was €17.94)

It would be such a surprise if some of its tracks get showcased in China on the new year's eve!

For the time being I'm suspecting a hoax. The release date keeps moving into the future (it's the second time it did that), the price (17.94) doesn't make sense, nor doesn't the shift to 18.53 (looks like a currency exchange fluctuation)

I'm also leaning more towards a hoax right now, because if you look at Sony's Legacy Music site, it's clearly based in the US (and will ship from the US), whereas the country of origin in the amazon.es listing for "Electronica 3" is Spain.
(And if you search Amazon.es for other products released by "Legacy", the results are rather scarce - and on my attempt, led to a Johnny Cash release which had the manufacturer of "Publisher : Sony Bmg Special Markets" on the proper page instead)
Still possible that it was listed on Amazon.es way way too early, but we'll see.

Jean-Michel Jarre explained in the latest stream that it's fake.
"Lies spread by Jezz Bezos" - he said.
So this topic should be either deleted or just marked as fake.

Or, it could just be a smoke screen - Amazon leaked it, so it's damage control ahead of actual marketing strategy.
But yeah, I'm keen to believe this is indeed not happening.
