Strange thread, I know...

Which synth would you like to be ?

- AMR is a big black piano, playing without stopping.

Well,

For starters, piano is not a synth.

Still, my favourite one to operate is the Korg Mono/Poly (1979?), but the one that I feel can be explored more and still provide fun is the Yamaha CS6x, which is still my daily workhorse.

The piano is magical because it's so analog... but I also like guitar, mandolin, bass, flutes and so forth... The easier it makes my life, the better, but nowadays you can acomplish it all with a synth, my point is that I prefer to cut short wereas others prefer to have something that cut trough it all, even taking much more time and effort.

A Steinway is way more efective on my brain than a CS80, live... on tape, that's a whole new ball game though...

So if I were a synth, and I'd rather not be, I'd be a Korg Oasys because it can grow on itself - still, it can't smoke cubans, drive fast, in style and safe, or enjoy great alcoholic nectars nor can't it have a delightfull time with a delightfull women (not the way I like, anyway) - (the CS6x can expand too, but with hardware boards only - the new piano one's are atonishing, though I still prefer acoustic - but I still love and use the originals DX (sine synth) and AN (analog moddeling) boards I bought with my 1st Cs6x ones heavily - also bought a CS6r to use live).

The new Moog is winking at me... but I have other priorities for now.

Kind Regards,
AMR

Always behind VSTs (that's right).

Are you going to add an additional status for us? Like for CLUBMIX (Discography expert) ?

He can't.
And I won't. It's only for special members.

The only member in Pink Floyd that actually had a drug problem was the late Syd Barrett. The other ones tried the shit of course but so did everybody (well almost) else at that time (The Beatles anyone? ;)).

Comfortably Numb is not about LSD but about the depressive, despotic and scared inner feelings of the main character in "The Wall"...and that is another, very complicated story...
