Well, as long as they are lossless (they are, aren't they? ) then there's some value in that.
24-Bit 48.0 kHz flac.
Yeah I'm not talking about the file format, I'm talking about the actual content :>

According to spectrum it is "fake" (24/)48 - as the whole production. Nothing above 22k, in some of the tracks almost just dither noise above 18k. Not that it has much importance with this dadwater "sound" but audible too.

French composer and producer Jean-Michel Jarre poses on stage prior to perform a 2021 New Year's Eve virtual reality concert "Welcome to the other side" at Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris, on December 31, 2020, amid the Covid-19 pandemic.

Having seen a couple of VR recordings of the concert I must sadly conclude that the concert must have suffered from audio/video sync issues. In the YouTube broadcast the countdown reached 0 exactly at the first beat of Stardust chorus, however on VR the video was delayed by ≈3 seconds (kind of ruining the effect and the most important moment of the show). 21st century is surely disappointing with regards to tech...

And will be even more so as time goes. Our technologies reached the complexity where human mistakes costs more and more.

Regarding his post viewtopic.php?f=1&t=6258&p=206784#p206784
I noticed in the chat a lot of Alphastein fans which are probably young people. Good to attract a young crowd, but boy, were they annoying
I saw there were 44K viewers on the Jean-Michel Jarre youtube stream, I was on the Paris youtube stream myself, which was the same stream. That attracted more than 5000 people but had a lot less Alphastein fans.

From JMJ's perspective, this gig ultimately seems to have gone well and certainly far better than the Alone Together one did.
Wish there was a version without the audience noises, though. :\
(For a VR concert like this, fake audience noises are somewhat understandable but they really could have been done a lot better)
But now it's all been done so there we go... and at least there's still 10-10-10 to fall back to.

No, I don't think that's the cause. The quality of software engineering has been dropping for the past decade or so. Everything is rushed now (aka "agile") and nobody pays attention to QA.

I fully agree with that.
That whole Agile fad is the main reason I often aspire a job in a bicycle repair shop or a bakery.

The "agile" "development" and missing QA... are exactly those human mistakes and idiotic degeneration what I think of. And all of this will have much worse consequences eventually than a bad VR "live" "show".
