Interesting that the Supermarkets demo is copyright 2018 according the CD booklet, and not 1983. Does that mean it is actually a new recording, or perhaps, from an UPCOMING new 2018 recording? Are we going to get another surprise album release, much like 'Radiofonie' appeared after the surprise of Oxygene 3 ?

Well, I can dream can't I?

Also - on a separate note - I notice that Oxygene 7-13 has been re-released on CD - with the original artwork. I thought it was called Oxygene 2 now, and had new (in my opinion, better) artwork to match Oxygene and Oxygene 3 ?

Aor Bleu is also credited as 2018. I don't think it has any significance.

Just a stupid question, at which point in Jean-Michel's career did he compose Aor Bleu?

No, that was just for the trilogy release.

Somewhat odd though, for someone new to Jarre browsing the albums - Oxygene, Oxygene 3 and Oxygene 7-13. They might wonder what happened to the rest of the albums - Oxygene 2, and Oxygenes 4 to 6.

Oxygene 1, 2 and 3 makes far more sense - and, as I recall, was Jarre's original intended titles.

Making sense is not a part of Jarre's current contract with Sony. ;)

For example, the moment we thought Sony had done something right (not messing up any part of the covers for the Sept 2018 re-releases), Adam was the first to notice that no, quality control at Sony just isn't a part of the deal.

(Sadly!)

I think the mistake was made already back in 1997. I've always thought of Oxygene 7-13 as a pretty silly title of a sequel album. They maybe thought that the book of Oxygene was closed by then. But now with the idea of an Oxygene trilogy the whole mess is a fact.
Not to mention the "New Master Recording"

I give you credit for that.

It should've been permanently renamed. To avoid confusion with "Oxygene part 2" it would be called "Oxygene vol. 2" (the original name of "Oxygene 7-13" in 1996 was "Oxygene 2" but that was supposedly changed in order to avoid said confusion). "Oxygene 3" album would be then called "Oxygene vol. 3". Simple as that. But we digress.

I wouldn't mind Oxygene 7-13 and 3 being retitled to Volume 2/3, but lord the new cover for 7-13 sis just so drab compared to the original.

Or maybe one just needs to make an album titled Oxygene with parts 1-20 on it. ;)

But that would never fit on a single CD you silly!
